    Its second on the list!
Really? What's first? Just being nosey really not digging you out or anything.
In fact, I am going to ask him for permission to PM his e-mail to Cleaver as he is thinking of Canada too.

I just posted on another thread that he wants to live here for a while (he left UK aged 8) as he has a creative void within him and he finds it impossible to fulfill in Canada. I mean, he just can't belive that one can just 'set up' a business like we do here.

Prices are expensive everywhere! Go to the Northwest, northeast, midlands, prices are completely nuts everywhere!

Are you sure a 3 bed semi where I live is £120K average male full time wage is £30K.

I make that nearly 3.5%X single wage + 10% deposit.

We are nearing 30. How long are you supposed to put off having a family to pay for the greed of the boomer generation?

How long do you expect mortgage income to remain this low as a % of take home, bearing in mind tax rises and IR increases? Plus, you are not talking sense. Most mortages factored into that would have been pre-credit crunch mortgages with a very low differential on base.

    Hardly a fair comparison.

So it appears that a home is not unaffordable to you, you just do not wish to take on the commitment, risk and sacrifice it may entail.

    .

So you have £50K job and £100K in the bank and you are putting off having a family!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you sure you are not using others as a reason for your cold feet. I had them but money certainly cant be the reason you do not have a family.

I am sure you have even said you have secure virtually free accomodation.

Perhaps when you have kids things like this will not stress you so.

At 30 I had a mortgae of 3 X my income a none working wife and the first of three children. It would be another 14 years before my wife returned to work (part time).

And I'm supposed to be stealing from you?
You are a lousy money manager you will go through life disappointed by everything just because you do not have the absolute best of everything. You are the end product of consumerism ending up spending nothing because there isn't anything good enough for you.
The only thing that is constant is change.

I think the answer must be to have several wives and put them all out to work.

And you are a filthy thief. Dont expect my generation to pay for your retirement; by the time your generation have finished with the UK it will be finished. It must have ben nice to have the opportunity to enjoy your life whilst your wife could stay at home to bring up the kids; this is no longer an option for my generation.

I dont want the best for me; I despise consumerism, I am looking for the best for my kids. Something the UK will not be able to offer thanks to the Greed of your sort insisting on ever increasing house prices and restrictions on building new property.

3.5X his wage and his £100K would get him a 5 bed detached in a very good area;).
