Humph...... they've already got all our money. Are they going to 'lose' all that as well?

Peoples money are safe in banks up to 50K. Its down to people to spread their money etc. As I say if banks were regulated properly and not allowed to get so big so they could not fail there would not be such a problem.

If the above is not possible then nationalise them.

The government will no doubt need to find a way of getting some money out of the oldies.

It's called 'paying for your residential care.' :D

But, funnily, they don't see why they should pay for themselves when them that haven't got assets get their care for free. You just can't please everyone!

We are nearing 30. How long are you supposed to put off having a family to pay for the greed of the boomer generation?

How long do you expect mortgage income to remain this low as a % of take home, bearing in mind tax rises and IR increases? Plus, you are not talking sense. Most mortages factored into that would have been pre-credit crunch mortgages with a very low differential on base.

    Hardly a fair comparison.

There is never a right time to have a baby....so I would advise to just do it. We did, we were skint and survived. Having a family means sacrificing certain things (unless you are loaded) so may as well just do it and see.

I earn 50K. I have 100K on deposit. So tell me, bearing in mind recent generations bought between 3-4X salary (my joint salary is 70K) I think looking to afford something more than a crappy barratt !!!! tip isnt too much to ask. Without completely f*cking my future, bearing in mind we are about to see hikes in Income tax, National insurance, Road tax, Interest rates and practically every other cost of living.

If you have 100k deposit and an income of 50k you can easily afford my 4 bed detached in Surrey with a mortgage of 3.5x your income.

This says it all. You are obviousl;y a greedy, self-righteous b******.
You have no divine right to live next to a premiership footballer and a tory MP. You were obviously totally spoilt as a child and you still haven't grown up. You have to take responsibility fir your own life and that means "pay for it" just like everyone else before you. Sod off and don't come back until you have learnt what humility means
There are decent people out there who are proud of there barratt your condescending attitude shows you in your true light
The only thing that is constant is change.

F*ck you Pr*ck, if you though I was given 100K for free, think again, it took a lot of sacrifice, a lot of hard work on mine and my partners part. A LOT of time away in not particularly nice places.

I will be taking control of my life alright, if someone doesnt sort the UK out pretty pronto, I will be heading away from the UK permanently.
