No running for me.......two valid [STRIKE]excuses[/STRIKE] reasons though - the first is that we still have loads of snow and ice on our pavements, and the second is that my lovely Norwegian student came home today for a week's visit :j First time we have seen her since June.....:D

really?! I have lots in the garden but most on the pavements have gone. Its crazy how villages a few miles apart can be so different. (I was also just checking they were valid reasons and not excuses for not running

we have no streetlights here either.....and Pania can vouch for how difficult it is running in my village at the best of times. It is sooo dark!! So dark AND icy is a complete no-no.
When I was training for the marathon, I would drive to Thorpe, park at Bannatynes and run round the city/ring road etc from there. Much easier! Of course, once the evenings get lighter, it is fab running round here, but winter evenings are genuinely tough.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
