I am finally back in the land of living, so to speak, after a horrendous two weeks which started with my mum suddenly passing away within 36 hours of being rushed into hospital. Life then got very hectic and I didnt have time to even stop and breathe there was so much I needed to get done, as I am the only child. Plus I was also grieving for my mum as we hadnt spoken to each other since February of this year and there was a lot of unresolved issues that never got resolved.
The main thing was that I was there while she was in hospital, even though she wasnt aware that I was there due to her being on a ventilator the whole time. I was with her when she passed away at the end.
Hopefully now everything has calmed down for the moment I can finally get back to normality.. Although saying that I am still grieving for mum, and this time of the year is exceptionally hard as its the first Christmas without my nan, my best mate and now my mum.

Like I have nothing better to do with my time. At 10.30 this morning he said he'd be here at 12.30 and now it's nearly 3pm and stilll no sign. It's probably a 20 min job at most. Why are builders so bl00dy unreliable? Grrr.....sorry guys, end of rant. calm, calm, calm..............
Sxx
Let's see if my builder is any more reliable, i came down at 7am as dog was barking to find the masonry around chimmney had fallen off!
Phoned him at 8am and said he'd be here around 1pm, yeh right, let's wait and see!! :rolleyes:But first, the most asked question:

Hi mclaren,

i put 3 sets of lights up, 1 went to put the lights on last night, 1 set ok, 1 set not working at all, 3rd set half lights are dead!
Looking forward to the old firm on sunday? But first, the most asked question:

Have I misunderstood or have you gone back to him? Just hope you're okay and happy hun.
Tiffy Tip! If you can, don't take down the tree after the holidays (unless it's a real one! ) and store it fully decorated in a closet/cupboard/cellar/garage. I did it for the first year this year and it's working perfectly!:D No hassle at all! I don't know whether to feel proud or ashamed!:o :rotfl:
Enjoy your day hun.
Much love

Yes I have went back Tiff, i just followed my heart.
I'll see what happens inbetween xmas and new year as he's supposed to be telling his stepson, IF he does it!
Re- the tree, good tip but it's to large to be kept intact, it stands 8ft and perhaps around 4ft wide at bottom, it's one that comes in a zillion pieces!

That is so sad,
especially at this time of year, you still need more time to grieve, it will take time hun.
Take care of yourself and come back when your ready.

I'm a lot better now thanks hun. Of course we'll help each other hun - we're a tag team aren't we?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sorry hun - thanks for the offer but it won't work for me - I'm allergic to rubber!
Do you ever feel that someone upstairs - or downstairs! - has really got it in for you?!
Hope you have good things planned for today hun - a nice builder's castration in the morning really sets you up for the day!:rotfl:
Much Love,
Tiff xxx
Builder's castration - LOL tiffy hun! Thing is he would actually have to be here in order for that to happen - in fact maybe he knew what was coming and scarpered! :rotfl:
Hmm, allergic to rubber  Well in that case you can borrow my heaty-uppy thing, you put it in the microwave and the bead things inside heat up and stay warm for ages - it's brill! See Tiffy, I got all bases covered
Nothing exciting planned for today. Doing some laundry now while having a cuppa. Might do some xmas shopping this afternoon... or at least engage with the notion of doing it :rotfl: Tomorrow is office xmas lunch, which in light of recent events, I'm now not wanting to go to, but feel that would be them winning, so I'm going to force myself to go and smile (through gritted teeth) but won't be staying any longer than necessary so hopefully I get to post when I get back tomorrow evening.
Have a good day tiffy hun, love sazxxx4 May 20100 -

Big hugs Natty. You've been through an awful lot, and yes, grieving will need time to work it's course. I'm an only child too and I'm full of admiration for how you've coped so well. Take care, we're here when you need us. Much love Saz x4 May 20100 -

Let's hope so, although he couldn't really be any worse! If he does turn up - any chance you could send him down my way with some polyfilla?:D4 May 20100
