I am lucky as i live with my gf and she seems to be pretty understanding, but its only the beginning for me. scared if these pills dont work she will leave me etc, but i suppose thats the same for everyone. but love is wonderful, find we are closer as my moods are really up and down, she likes when i just want to hug for hours!!

I always thought Eastenders should have a health warning or be sponsored by the Samaritans....
I think it is good they highlight health issues.

) safely ensconced in my little hideaway
I love it!!! or I will do when it's how I want it properly.. got some nice pics to hang up and b/f said he'll put some shelves up for all my books n stuff, maybe a plant or two
Mind you.. the lazy git did sod all except assemble the desk for me, I killed my back moving one of them old fashioned metal 4 drawer filing cabinets earlier, he could hear me moaning and groaning and never once came down to see what was wrong.. then when I was lying on the sofa he never even offered to make me a cuppa  so I won't hold my breath waiting on the shelves, lol
So I've had a productive day even tho I'm suffering a bit nowCan't have everything I spose eh?
Sazbomb, hope you have a good sleep for once xxx

CC, Hope you're not too stressed about your son.. I know how it is to get yourself all psyched up for something and then find it has to wait longer

CCStar wrote:Has anyone heard of using Amitrypteline for pain relief.
I read the side effects and it scared me to death. The weight gain for one and the dizzies. I didn't take them and the pain has subsided.
I had major surgery in early 2005 and went to the quacks for the pain and he suggested them.
Does anyone know anything about these ADs
Hi cc,
Yes hun, I have and I do use it myself. Amitryptyline is an a-d but it was prescribed to me for severe IBS and dairy allergy reactions. Made a heck of a difference!:j
I try to avoid reading the side effects as they can be upsetting and I don't want to worry or 'think' myself into having them.
BUT, it's always a good idea to read the part on any advice slip for any medicine, that's titled''Do not take this medicine if you have...3 heads...etc'':rotfl: If you're really worried angel, speak to GP.
Needless to say, with any medicine, if you feel ill after taking it , call your dr immediately. Hope this helps angel.

welsh wrote:sorry blinky a quick question, my shrink said i should go on efexor but the GP would not prescibe it only a shrink could this, got citalopram instead. you know if this is true. also hello to everyone this evening, hope you are well :-) x
Hi Welsh! :hello:
Hope you're ok hun.
Tiff says... ...phone the psychiatrist's secretary asap to let the psychiatrist know what the GP has done. It's not uncommon for a dr to prescribe a generic version of a psychiatrist's prescription due to cost hun, but your psychiatrist may insist that he/she wants you to have that particular one. Always best to keep psychiatrist informed of changes made by anyone via the psychiatrist's secretary. If you don't have her number, call the centre she's at and say ''Can I speak to (Dr.Jekyll's) secretary please?''
Much love
