Jen - I know exactly how you feel. My flat is full of junk, a lot of which should probably be chucked away, I do every now and again sort out a bag of stuff to go to the charity shop, but I need to have a really good going through. Difficult to get the energy to do it tho!!

Hope everything goes well tomorrow - just be honest. Tell your Gp exactly how you feel or the help you are offered won't work and may even be the wrong thing for you.

Good evening - hope everyone is doing ok. Slayer i'm sure you'll be ok tomorrow. you are doing the right thing seeing someone. If you're worried about forgetting what you want to discuss write it down first.

Jen I know what you mean about the house. My house always seems a mess. I try to do the basics but i can't get motivated to do the big things.
I'm hoping to have 3 weeks off after finnishing my couse before I start my next job so I need to get organised and get some stuff done.

It is a vicious circle though. the more mess...the less motivation.... the more mess....

Good luck for today slayerx - it's natural to feel anxious so don't let it agitate you too much before you go hun. Let us know how you get on.

  • I seem to be having trouble sleeping more and more I have actually stayed awake for 2 days in a row this week becasue I can't sleep! I don't know if it is the prozac medication im taking but i just cant sleep and feel anxious to sleep, i think it may be because my prescription ran out last friday and missed the doctors to renew it and went through the weekend without the antidepressants and started on them again on Monday. Has anyone else had these kind of side effects? I'm finding it hard to cope with and on top of that im trying to search for a new job and dealing with student debts and the situation I was left in after splitting up with my ex makes me feel worse and worse. I don't think my parents understand the full issue with me and don't understand why I cant get a job and get motivated but I just don't have the energy, I find even shaving in the morning to much of a challenge - how pathetic is that???!!! I feel to embarassed at the age of 23 to tell my parents im on medication becasue id feel like im a bit of a failure and and soon as someone mentions prozac there is a bit of stigma attatched and don't really understand why someone needs a pill to help them etc, and they are maybe a bit old fashioned in theie ways. My parents didn't understand why I quit my job which was quite a good job, but I had to becasue it was making me more ill at the time and had no option. Just feel as if im going around in circles at the minute and have no routine and totally unfocused.

Meeting went well, GP has advised to look into Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which he feels could help me out.

Anyone had any experience with it?

I've had CBT - it was great to start with and has made me look at things from another angle but it didn't help my depression in the long term. I know people who have felt tons better since having it whilst others it's had no effect.

Go for it - there's no harm and it may be great for you. There is quite a waiting list for it though. I waited 11 months
