I'm happy - the hotel has free internet accsess! I'm here warming up before braving the cold again - its minus seven!! A foot of snow aswell.
Travelling was hard, had a few panic attacks, was worst at heathrow. I'm fine now I'm here and OH is at work so I can just enjoy it. Finnish Chocolate is very nice . The diazepam helped with the travelling, so I should be able to get home. Things are good, I äm happy. I need to do what I can to get better, and I'm not going to let anyone stop me.
Hope you are all good, thinking of you xx

Heya feeling, me and Elona gonna fight you for the Finnish chocolate :) Have a piece for me :D Thinking of you too. Thanks for checking in, take care, Saz xx

I'm really not used to people saying nice things to me and don't understand it when they do. I just find it hard to see any good in myself :o

It does take time to build the library up but it takes most of the pain out of doing the formatting (I used to write papers for publication so I had to make sure the format was correct for the particular journal.)

Tired today - car flew through service and MOT, which is a relief. Glad I didn't take it to a dealership as I'm sure they would have found lots which they would say it needed. Got it done at a local tyre / exhaust/ MOT place - saved £80 on dealership and they stamped the service book too :)

Spent the day in town - getting a few things I needed and to start to get ideas for Xmas shopping. Spent too much money and had loads of bags to carry around town.

Everyone, enjoy your weekend, thinking of you all.

PS. Some hugs to help you through the weekend.

Thanks for that Nemo, it is always good to hear what has worked for other people, but we must also remember that the same things do not work for the same people. In the same way most of us have to try many different medications before we find one that works just for us. Depression is a very personal condition and is different in every person who suffers from it, in the same way what will help them out of depression is different.

You make some very good points, all of which I agree with. Also, I think it would be helpful for anyone who has some ideas that have helped them to feel better to post them here. Whilst we all can identify with the problem, and although it comes in many different forms, I'd encourage anyone to contribute even the smallest idea that might help somebody else.

Getting away from toxic people and places helps

hiya everyone, hope you're all doing ok.

You're right CCstar about the ppl and places.. often is easier said than done tho. I was talking to one of my neighbours yesterday and she said something which really struck a chord with me.. that our street seems to have a jinx on it.. nothing good seems to happen to anyone who lives here and it seems no matter how hard you try, you can't seem to move forward with life.. it's always 2 steps forward and one step back.. weird huh? I thought it was just me who thought that so I was kind of taken back when she said what i'd been thinking.

Was thinking about what nemo said about sharing what works.. what worked for me a few years ago was cutting down on carbs.. bread, rice, pasta etc and any kind of sugar.. I felt fantastic.. like I could take on the world!! dunno why I stopped doing that really  I should do it again innit? Another thing that really helped was using sunbeds.. that seemed to lift me too, must be something to do with serotonin or sommat?

I feel a bit weird today... sort of out of it somehow. B/f is being really attentive and nice but i just feel really alone and spaced out. No focus on anything. *sighs*
