Hopefully my books will be here soon. I ordered on the 12th and had no sign of them being dispatched so I gave them a ring yesterday. I was told they'd been sent that day so checked my emails (I already did this befor the call) and amazingly I had an email at the exact same time I made the phone call :rotfl:No coincidence at all but never mind.
Bring on the books :jEven if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0 -
Watched two seasons back to back over the weekend. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm SOOOO excited for the books!!!!
ETA - Eric was a real grower in the TV shows, I didn't like him at first, but he is possibly pipping Bill to the post now....
Oh and I hate that her name is Sookie - what sort of a name is that for a lead character?!
Love love love Eric!
I need to see season 2! How have you watched it?
Alexander Skarsgard is delish!0 -
Im 2/3s through the first book and have to agree the writing is simple...but it doesnt bother me as its supposed to be sookie talking...she is barely educated as she points out XD lol
and as the sex scenes become more..ahem...often you really done consider it a kids book anymore! lol:jThe Money Saving Wannabe :j

Hi, you can watch it online at sidereel, (not sure if im allowed to post a link?). Just type in true blood into the search bit and it'll bring up a list of every episode. The megavideo links are probably the best to go for quality wise. HTH.0 -
I heart eric too
I watched ep10 of season 2 last night and Jason Stackhouse was hysterically funnywatching the last two tonight..
Cannot wait for season 3...
Anyone know the best prices for the newer books which are not in the book people set please?0 -
There's only one more book so far, Dead and Gone (book 9). The next one's out this year sometime.
I got mine from Amazon for £5.20, but the cheapest I could find is the Book Depository for £5.19, never ordered from them though and I trust Amazon. It's only in hardback still atm though.0 -
The more i think about this the more anxious i'm getting... anyone who ordered by phone: did they give you a reference number?
I didn't get one and I'm wondering should I email them and ask for one, just don't want them coming back to me saying 'oh, you shouldn't have actually got the free postage etc etc' and trying to charge me more.
The SA on the phone definitely said the free P&P went through but I didn't think to ask for a ref until I hung up, silly me.0 -
book depository are fantastic, i've ordered about 6 books from them in the past couple of weeks (doing an OU course) and they've come really quickly x0

I ordered these from the Book People and they turned up within a couple of days despite the snow last week. I'm already on book 3 (Club Dead) and its great so far! I like the way they are written quite simply it makes them an easy read.
Also I have watched the first 2 seasons which are fab, cannot wait for season 3! Eric is definitely a grower!Money Saving convert!!:j0 -
Great deal, am on third book already. Have been catching up with True blood episodes online and can you believe it I got all the way to the last episode in Season 2 and the video has been removed!! I would be very grateful if someone who has watched it recently could tell me which site is still providing them?
Pleeeeeese, lol, the anticipation is killing me!! :eek:0
