I'm sorry to say that I have found the language in these books to be incredibly simplistic. I'm trying to get past it and just indulge, but the critic in me is screaming at the pages!

It's trying to charge me £5.45 for Highland and Islands delivery!!! I'm in Northern Ireland :(

Just read the delivery FAQ and apparently N.I doesn't get included in the free delivery promotions. Pfft! So annoyed now, thought I was going to get a brilliant bargain at £8.09!!! I suppose the price including this delivery is still good but i've already got the first 4 books so was only going to be getting this as it would've worked out a really good offer.

I got these before Xmas, with a free delivery code, and got free delivery to Northern Ireland
  • I placed my order on the 9th and still haven't received it (boo hoo). I've read the 1st 4 but thought this was still cheap for 4 books. I wish they would hurry up. I placed an order for over £25 so got free delivery, but would of been willing to pay if it meant they were here sooner.

aww lucky! it comes up that the free delivery code has worked but then when i go through to put in my card details it automatically checks the 'highland and islands' option and no way of changing it back. :(

i'll keep trying though on the offchance it eventually works!

Thank you thank you thank you!! Rang them and quoted the free delivery code and no problems, went through! Didn't want to push my luck with the extra 10% but i'm still happy with the £8.99. :)

edit: just realised that in my haste to order i didn't get an order number :/ oh dear. fingers crossed it'll be ok.

I got these after reading so many rave reviews on here and Hot Deals. I've only just started the first one, but like Layla, I find the writing very simplistic - it's like reading a kid's book to be honest. I'll stick with it, maybe it will improve.

That's the great thing about The Book People though, you can try books you might not normally read because they are so cheap. Mine arrived in 2 days, despite the snow.

Watched two seasons back to back over the weekend. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm SOOOO excited for the books!!!!

ETA - Eric was a real grower in the TV shows, I didn't like him at first, but he is possibly pipping Bill to the post now....

Oh and I hate that her name is Sookie - what sort of a name is that for a lead character?!

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A
