mine broke twice, both times dhl sent a box with the labels and collected it a few days later.
1st time i got a new machine, 2nd time they replaced the motherboard in the same machine.
as long as the manufacture date is within the 3 years (also on the back of the xbox near the serial number), you dont need to find a receipt!Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

Hi
The current issue of MicroMart has an article about fixing the XBox 360.
It explains what causes it to happen, where to get the repair kit from and a walk thru' explanation of the fix with pictures.
The kit is from www.ck3.com and costs £14.95 the kit name is RROD Fix Pro.
The current issue of Micromart is No 1087 dated 30th Dec 2009 to 6th Jan 2010, cost is £2.
Hurry though because the new issue will be out on Thursday
Regards
that info is irelevant to the OP as there Xbox is well within the warranty period, but maybe use to thouse out of the extended 3 year warranty. Also there is no need to spend £2 on a mag when there are dozens of high quality walk throughs for fixing it online
As everyone else has said call them up with your serial number and they will arrange collection, they no longer provide the "coffin" the box to put the console in so you need to find a suitable box, but do not use the box it came in. All you need to send them is the console, so remove the hard drive, wireless adapter (if you have one) and send just the console. Turnaround is between 2-4 weeksEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

Turnaround could be less than 2 weeks, mine was returned to me in just over a week0

My son sent his off (wasn't RROD so we had to pay £80). From first contact with MS, it was picked up and (a new one) returned within 8 days.0

My xbox is out of is warranty and I've got the 3 lights, does anyone know how much is it to repair? Or is it just best to buy a new one?
Many thanks0
