Mine have frozen really badly a few times over the past week, despite using almost neat screenwash. I threw some very cheap vodka in there last night (vodka has a much lower freezing temperature than water) and it worked a treat.0

A lot of people blow their washer pump fuses this time of year, holding the lever for too long with no water coming out. RAC guy was saying its one of the most frequent call outs this week.0

Doesn't vodka remove paintwork?0 -
I used to use the halfords green undiluted but now use the stuff from Lidl £3.99 / 5L, neat it freezes at -60. I have never and will never used the supermarket cheap rubbish.0

i find that scary that people would call the breakdown out for that

I just get the concentrated screenwash and dilute it by 50% - no problems so far despite the very low temperatures. Stay away from the pre mixed stuff, its normally only summer strength.0
