High P&P -- Yet again.

My my, we're all touchy today
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
IMHO again of course.
If I was to buy something for one pound, list it on ebay and achieve £100.00 then only I would know it cost me one pound and I'd be making an unknown profit to anyone else. Blatently overcharging on p&p would be no secret and I think, would cause friction. << if you undertand me >>0 -

If I charged £15.00 p&p for something that cost £5 plus then I'd fully expect to get a negative feedback.
Yeah ok ok...........that's my humble opinion of course.
The price of postage goes on the WEIGHT of the item first and foremost.
It's obviously going to cost more for me to send a flat packed table worth £25 than a small gold chain worth £400.
I can't agree more with the saying, "If you don't like it...don't bid"0 -
This thread is a wind up.
Sick to death of these I was robbed over P+P and its always from folk that have bought. Engage brain before bidding instead of moaning after bidding!!
DO NOT BUY IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE CHARGE!!
I'm off to slash my wrists now.0 -
can I add, you knew, and were happy with the cost before bidding,
so, why moan once the item turns up?
'nuff said, case closed :-)money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

Good. It really isn't rocket science.rose_sparky wrote:Oh yes, silly me, I'll try and understand in future.
Only if the buyer was so animal stupid that they bought something where they found the pricing minutea offensive instead of just passing it by.If I charged £15.00 p&p for something that cost £5 plus then I'd fully expect to get a negative feedback.
No one is forcing people to buy things with high shipping charges. It's entirely their own decision.
And, anyway, you have no way of knowing how much the shipping cost. Sellers time and transport are completely unknown to you. You're just assuming that they are charging more than it's costing them based on an absurdly simplistic view of shipping costs. Just learn to read the p&p charges and bid if you want to, don't if you don't.
Simple, easy and saves endless wingeing threads here and on other forums.0 -
Hey rose_sparky, right on, it was only one item, and yes, it was a rip, and yes I was planning to use heragain, as I liked her stuff. But obviously not now. No, I don't mind paying the freight or I wouldn't have bid, but let's get real. I have no opposition to P&P charges, I was commenting on this silly triple charge on rubbish packing. I've seen the endless oh-isn't-it-awful-what-people-charge. When I sell I don't charge the precise amount the postage is, but I sure as hell don't triple it! I was hoping some bright spark would give me a delish comeback, but I maybe aimed too high. Thanks for all input, but please don't give me the old don't bid rubbish. If I pay that amount, I expect fancy smanshy tissue etc., and I probably would think how gorgeous it appeared. It's all in the diet, folks, it's how good you look.0
