Vitamins need an SA to ok the transaction when you self scan. I learned this tonight when I was trying to be sneaky....

I asked all 3 SA's when I used SS with the coupon if it was because I was scanning vitamins, and all 3 of them looked puzzled and said No - they usually scan fine. I think its the coupon thats making the SS beep.

Nope, the machine said something about authorised product and the SA came over and said she just needed to check that I was aware of what I was buying
I panicked and ended up buying all 3 with only one voucher when I had planned to use 3 on 3 different transactions. Oh well, I could be doing with multivits anyway I suppose.

the sa told me that it only beeps becuase its a medicine technically and you have to check that youre not buying too many of certain medicines like paracetamol. she didnt mind sortign it out for me even though i did two sepearte transactions.

Email goes out to tens of thousands of people who don't even contribute to the site yet they will happily take advantage of 'loopholes' such as this. Just think that posts such as this (of which stock is in limited supply) should be left for the regulars rather than fighting it out with the rest of the nation on the email!

Only 75 regulars have thanked the poster so far but you can be sure that a lot more lurkers will have benefitted from this post!

EDIT: Correction, 3 million people receive the email according to this link! Is there really enough supply for everyone to take advantage? Which is why I say...leave it for the regulars!

Well I have visited two different Boots stores, and used 3 different A Cards - and was not offered the vitamin voucher with any of them ???

Is this regional.

I spend quite a lot on vitamins and supplements, so it would be pretty useful if I could actually find a AC machine that offers the voucher:cool:

thats not your call to make though, look at it on the flip side, if the OP of this thread had decided just to pm all their mates on the site about the offer rather than telling us ALL here you would never have known. Martin tries to make this website moneysaving for all, some people post endless good offers whilst others may only pop in once in a blue moon. Without either party this site wouldnt continue.
