    hmm, whilst I know that a "bob" is 5 pence in new money, there are people that use "bob" for pound eg

    "How much did that cost ?"
    "Oh, it was only a couple of bob"

    the mc donalds advert is aimed at the younger generation rather than the old farts who are still living in predecimal times.............boycott them that usually seems to be the advice
