All you have to do is enter your username and pasword into your old router via the web interface, a 2 minute job.
Or opt for the free wireless router (£5.99 delivery charge).

I tried that and it said "this router is locked to BT" or words to thae effect.
Connected to plusnets one when it came three days later. It didn't come before switch on as promised when signing up. That's my only complaint about Plusnet so far everything else has been fine.
Be good to the young on their way up you might need them on your way down.

Yep been with PlusNet for over 2 yrs. Good customer service. Keep changing plans - as do all the other suppliers so cant comment on that aspect. Owned by BT now as someone else pointed out already. Can't get BT Vision from them - they did think it would be offered soon after BT bought them but so far not materialised as infrastructure different to BT or something.

Yes, Home Hubs can be locked to BT, they can be flashed, but for the average user it's not worth the hassle, easier to use the new router supplied.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Plusnet are good - I'd recommend them. PM sent
