T mobile contract costing more than stated?

I recently signed up with Tmobile through buymobilephones.net with their Combi 15 18 month contract which said it would be £15 a month. I have yet to exceed the allowance on calls and texts, yet my first bill was about £14 and this months is £21.

Am I missing something (this is the first time i've had a contract phone)? I presumed that if it said it would be £15 a month that is what I would pay?!

How many inclusive minutes / texts do you have per month?
    Is it cashback deal?
If its first month bill that you have received, it might you had only a partial allowance of minutes and texts to use.

And check your usage online to see what exactly you are being charged for. www.t-mobile.co.uk register your phone/account ( do not opt for paperless billing if you are on a cashback deal - you need paper bills then).

Ive got 100 free mins and texts and haven't used anywhere that much.

I got a £30 cashback deal from buymobilephones.net which is coming from them via BACS in Feb.

Ive been charged £21.05 for my second month.
Broken down it saysYour monthly plan charges £16.74 New charges this month outside plan £1.56 Your new balance £18.30 VAT charged at 15% on £18.30 £2.75 Amount due £21.05

Whats the £1.56 for? Data usage? The only way to tell is either you phone using your mobile (150 free).

Or go online to view your usage.

If you are Combi 15, I would expect your bill to be £15, so do not know how the £16.74 (unless you only recently signed up and its a partial bill - one complete month £15 plus a few days extra making £16.74).

£30 cashback from buymobilephones.net - are you on a cashback deal, i.e. you send bills to buymobilephones.net to get that £30 back?

Yeah i think that £1.56 was when i was checking the phones internet gizmos, so i'm happy with that. But can't see where they are getting the monthly plan charge from?! Ive trawled their website and can't see any hidden costs. Something fishy is going on and I'll call them to find out. Just thought I'd check here before I made a prat of myself.

The cashback deal is their "Automatic cashback" where you get it paid into your account a few months after signing up as opposed to the "Line rental discount" where you have to send in your bills.

Have you got exact details of what deal you entered into?

It might be that your effective cost after automatic cashback is £15 per month over the 18 months. That normally how you get such an offer.

No, I've just checked my buymobilephones.net account and it says I will be receiving my £30 cashback on the 12th Feb.

Check your emails etc - you must have something to indicate what offer you got.

Only deal i can see on there is Combi 15, for 18 months, at £15 a month.

With a Nokia 5800 Red, you get £30 cashback, nothing else gives £30.
But it comes with 4 months free line rental by redemption also, so thats another £60.

No idea why your line rental is £16.47, for the 2nd month. It should be under £15 as with vat at 17.5% it would come to £15.

The first month is usually more as you are charged a month in advance, + this month so at the start of a month, generally 2 months line rental, at the end of a month its closer to 1 months line rental.

This may not be of much help to you but is confusing me a little, are the monthly prices quoted on buymobilephones inclusive or exclusive of VAT?
