Actually, pooky needs to start claiming Carer's Allowance NOW to lose out on payment should the DLA take a while to decide.
Don't worry, you won't be paid CA before you've been awarded DLA.

oh right, i am no expert, i couldn't claim carers until dla was sorted then they back dated to date of dla award.

SRM, I think your blood type is in demand because it can be given to anyone, no matter what their blood type. So definitely worth giving blood if you are able to. :T

Think thats O+ rather than O- but I could be wrong, its a long time since I studied all that

Because your blood group is O RhD negative, it is very special indeed.
It can be given to anyone. That means your blood is the only safe option when a patient's blood group is unknown or not immediately available - such as in emergencies, or in the case of specialised procedures for unborn babies. ( blood transfusion service)

Yep if a person is 0 Rh neg (-) they can only have a 0 rh - donation. However your O rh- blood can also be given to other groups such as AB Rh+
    AB Rh -
    A Rh+
    A Rh -
    B Rh+
    B Rh -
    0 Rh+
    0 Rh
