Morning all - back to work for me too after a lovely 2 week bread. Building is bloomin' freezing as I think the heating's broken, so I can't feel my feet yet.
Bit of a shock to the system having to set my alarm (7AM - what's that all about!?). Haven't seen that time on the clock of the past couple of weeks.
OH stuck in Beijing as her flight home was delayed due to bad weather so she missed her connecting flight to HK. She now has to spend the night in a hotel and they can't find her luggage!! Pain.
Feeling generally meh as I'm sure a lot of you are too.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
Morning all you gorgeous people!!
Just got up (I am recovering from illness though!!) I can finally swallow a little bit of food
Got the hospital tomorrow though..Hopefully going to nail my essay toda rather than keep having it on my mind! We have lots of snow here in Norfolk. and my boyfriend got an email from a job he applied for in Norfolk saying they can't wait to meet him. Happy days.0 -
morning all!
I'm off all week - I don't mind doing the bit between Christmas and New Year (even more so when the caretaker brings in homemade sloe gin each day and we all get a shot each )but it feels weird being here as I don't normally take holiday unless I'm away - just hope I don't get too bored on my own here each day.
Was a brave little soldier this morning and went to have some bloods done. _pale_ The anticipation is so stupid when it just doesn't hurt etc
The ice has grown back down the driveway and is even worse than the last 3 days. It was -5 when I got in the car at 9am so I'm not surprised it is so thick!!
Perhaps I should try to get the problem with the storm drain sorted this year somehow to stop the water running down the driveway for weeks on end after heavy rain."Stay Wonky":D

I'm back. Usual waste of time - sign here, see you in a fortnight.
Popped into Morrisons and tried to make a little go a long way. Got some sausages for 50p so going to have a sausage sandwich for brunch and them make a mince stew for dinner.
Wanted the SW magazine but couldn't afford it.
The rest of the day sort of looms ahead.

Ah man. This board really helps with my uni work if no-one ever minds. I'm from a family where we sometimes had to struggle to make ends meet... I'm now trying to become a child/family social worker.. Some of the people who study the same thing think its soo easy for some families we look at we had a case study thing before christmas on a family who couldn't afford a dinner let alone christmas presents.. one girl came back with "Oh.. they should've saved then, their fault". Some people make me so angry.0

Morning  I am quite chirpy this morning, despite getting up at the crack of dawn to get the kids ready and then realising when I got Ryan to school that there was a training day.... :rotfl:
Washing machine has also broken down, so have just had to handwash the stuff that was in there...whites load = towels and sheets!
Better get on with looking for a new one.
I do like 2010, it is much nicer that 2009! This year, I am starting a degree course (Economics and Mathematical Sciences ), running a half marathon (GNR, Freckleton or Norfolk...depends on various things...), and for anyone who missed it last night, I have had my mortgage agreed to buy Stu out of the house. :j
With the savings I've put aside, I have only had to borrow an extra 10k :T so my LTV is still only 50%. And my fixed rate ends soon, so my repayments will actually drop (only till the base rate increases again though).
Hockey starts again on Wednesday, running at the weekend, and I have a fab party to look forward to in Feb.Life is actually not bad at all!
