Happy birthday Quillion and Lil_me's DS. Hope you both have the lovely day you deserve.

No flying here. I've been struck with the V&D bug. Feel carp! On a positive note I didn't get it over the holidays and it will help with weight loss. All I can manage is copious amounts of water. Waiting for a phone call from school to tell me one of the children has it. I guess I did say I wanted them off for longer.

    Hugs to you all xxx

Gilly - whatever you do don't do too much. I was in your position this time last year and it was always the next day I'd feel awful if I'd done too much. Baby steps for you. Big hugs and I hope you feel much better soon xx

Why is it so difficult to give blood??? I can either book 4 months in advance (not really possible given the job...) or drop in on the off-chance (not really a great idea either... if I don't block the time in my diary a couple of weeks ahead, it'll get filled with calls). I can see why blood stocks are low when they make it so hard. Surely if appointments get filled up so far in advance, they should be trying to add extra sessions to existing dates, or additional dates closer to the current ones?
    ...

I know what you mean, last time I went to do it they turned me away saying they were fully booked. Now I'm pregnant so can't do it...

Mudbath sorry to hear you have the bug, me and the kids got it last week of school, it set off my contractions and everyone thought I was in labour! They were very dissapointed today when they saw bump is still here!

HHC done and now floor's been vac's and mopped (after defrosting the mop bucket that I'd left outside) with DS2's "help"
Finished undecorating the tree (tried yesterday but DS2 was putting the decs back on it faster than I could take them off!) and taking lights down.
Cleaned a grimy greasy dusty shelf. Looked at the cupboard under the sink and ran away...

Hello all, my first post here, I would love to join, I do the housework most days, but none of it is structured. So to do so whilst being a part of a community would be brill. Plus it gives you the stimulus to see that other people are getting the targets done, so you move into 1st gear as well, heres hoping!

Thanks Ragz - must have been scary having contractions on top of being ill. How long have you got now if you don't mind me asking?

I'm going to have to do baby steps because I'm bored already so I'll just put a wash on. I will be back xx

    Hello Lovelies!

I'm here with my list - I've managed to keep on top of everything over the hol season - think I've developed some good cleaning habits which I'm really pleased with.

Sorry I've been awol for the hols - had to fight for my right to the laptop - Humph!

As much as I love DD and DS I have to say I'm looking forward to them returning to school tomorrow. They have reached the point where they can't really stand the sight of each other and there is lots of fighting going on - a clear sign that they need to go back to school!

Thank you to usual suspects for your hard work in keeping us focused and going.

I'm going back to work on Wednesday with a phased return, hope it goes ok. Feel a bit anxious about it but I'm going to be positive. I've learned that I will not allow myself to get as low and poorly as I did before accepting that I need a break and some help. Wonder if I need to consider a different career - don't think now is the time to do it though.

Love and hugs to you all and special warm gentle hugs for Toots and Lady-L :A:A, I hope that you ladies are well.

I've not kept up with the thread at all so best wishes to you all.

    Love

Can someone please suggest a good way to tackle a slightly neglected gas hob? It is getting worse, I do most of my kitchen, but kinda close my eyes to the hob, I need help please.
