Same here, despite children.
Three rules here:
1. Never move a sleeping cat
2. If a child asks you to read to them then you do it
3. There is no such thing as too many books
Sum total of my efforts today apart from boring work, filled the DW, S&S'd the kitchen, put our bedding in the WM, then the TD. Waiting for it to finish now.
Someone I work with slipped and fell in the carpark yesterday, breaking his wrist. We only have an inch of snow. Please, please take care people.
Dusty I would keep them home, but tell them it is because you are not happy that the ice has cleared and that it is safe rather than because you are worried about the other stuff. HTH'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
I have my grans button tin, there are buttons in there older than my mother!.. so probably about the same age as yours
.. it smells divine. I also have my great grandads drill.. it is ancient and useless but it is mine. I also have an old old sewing book which was given to my greataunt when she got married... 60 years ago!.. still in the original packaging it was posted in.
Snap, I have an ancient cocoa tin with buttons in that I inherited from my grandmaother and my great grandfather's plane. No book though.
Doesn't everyone have an old button tin?
I am still adding to my tin but heaven knows when I will ever use all those odd buttons.
