and you cant sell used products on ebay.

Of course you can! You can sell pretty much anything....even those hatboxes empty would sell.
There always seems to be an excuse;)
I'll try selling most things on ebay...clothes, books, make up, toys, shoes (yes, used)....people will buy anything there..
I really need to sort out a new signature!
  • I can't set up a DD, cause i get paid at a differnt date very month, and i'm scared by the time that comes around there will be nothing in my bank

But wouldnt there be money left in the bank if you didn't withdraw it to spend in Lush etc?! Nobody is expecting you to live like Scrooge and not buy anything whatsoever but these treats should be fewer and further between, if you are serious about trying to clear your debt.

I usually wack my old mobile phones on eBay when my yearly contract is up (yes I know I'm on a contract!!) and usually get £100+ which is great to pay things off with.
You can put any [STRIKE]old tat[/STRIKE] old thing on there - I've seen Radley dust bags and little Radley dog charms go for £20! That's not even the bag! :D

Oh god, tell me about it! In my last job we got paid 4-weekly and obviously the date was different everytime - it was a nightmare for setting up direct debits!

I used to leave enough money in my account and take out the cash that I needed for the 4 weeks and that was it!

You can set up direct debits. I have shown you the best time to do it on the spreadsheet I gave you. Your student loan gets paid in at the beginning of the month and your wages at the end. You can then set the direct debits up to go out on the 5th of the month. Your wage will cover them, if only paying minimum amounts and your student loan will also have cleared by then. Then as the spreadsheet shows you live on a certain amount each week. Then the day before your wages gets paid in again you empty the account to the nearest £5. You use that money to pay extra on a debt and you start again in the next month.

BUT as i said you need to make sure your SOA is correct and you are only spending what you have budgetted for (makeup brushes was NOT on the soa you posted here), you will need to add a line in for makeup brushes if this is going to be regular or one month you spend £20 on makeup the next month £20 on clothes. It's one or the other, not both.

Thats exactly like me. I get paid 4-weekly and OH gets paid weekly, makes it quite difficult to budget and set up direct debits but has to be done and we manage :D

yeah I imagine people think 'wow weekly, that's good. You've always got money' but I reckon it's the complete opposite!

Get paid monthly now instead but still have to budget if I get a long pesky month!

and i can't sell the hatboxes. one is mine and i have used all the products in it, and you cant sell used products on ebay. The other one is my mums. Which she is keeping till shes finished everything in her other one shes using just now.

Maybe you cant sell the stuff but what about the empty boxes? What about all the unopened products you have listed? What about the clothes you dont wear anymore? books you dont read?.... Look at the bigger picture

And it's pauls boutique. not paul burton. and my friend bought me onw for starting uni, to say she was proud of me!

Whatever the damn thing is called on your 'other' diray you said you had two so one could go on ebay. I am guessing that you like your 'named' brands so it wouldnt surprise me if there are other bags/accessories that can head to ebay and get your debt payed off! Whats better paying £20 off the debt or buying 'bargain' makeup brushes for £20 which is then added to the debt and actually after interest cost you nearly £40+

Here you go completed listing for PB bags, £80 for a bag. That could be one of your debts gone. If you want it bad enough!

I don't really buy anything at uni either. as im only in 2-3 hours a day (well i dunno what my new timetable will be like yet)

Leave your purse at home then you CANT buy anything. Before you say 'but there might be an emergency' well you have a mobile phone and if it was that bad I guess your friends could help out.

I can't set up a DD, cause i get paid at a differnt date very month, and i'm scared by the time that comes around there will be nothing in my bank

Thats the worse excuse ever! Thats what is called a BUDGET, and surprisingly what TotallyBroke devised for you. I get payed midmonth, ok its the same day but its mid month. that means my 'month' starts from that date. So when I get payed I then discard all my direct debt money from my running total (or in my case I have two current accounts with one bank to seperate my money) and leave it there untill it is taken for the companys. Oh and my Mother works for Morrisons and she has shock horror 5 direct debits that I know of. You just adjust your life styple/your month/your money to suit your budget. I started having direct debits from when I was 18 because they are the easiest way to pay your bills/min payments.

Still wishing you luck because you will need it :D
  • I was just wondering if you will get any profit share payment from Morrisons in march. If you do that will go a long way towards paying off some debts. Also I just noticed that you smoke? Surely instead of buying make up the best thing you could do for your skin is to stop smoking.
