20p here and there is not going to make much of a difference, but if i let it build up to a substancial amount, it can help me to make a dent in something! If i didn't put it in my tin, it would probably go towards my brothers bus and train fare to school everyday. So it's better in my tin, waiting to build up, then in my bank, then going towards one of my debts.
Im pretty sure its not just that that people are referring to when they say you havent had your LBM and are not willing to change your ways yet.
You have been given lots of helpful advice.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
And no, i do not take money out just to get change to put in my tin. There is £13 in it at the moment, but i have not put anything in it on 3 days! I only put something in it, when i actually have change in my purse, left over from whatever i bought that day.
And i do not care about snowballing at all, to me i dont really care about intrest on my accounts. What does matter, is being able to see a large chunk being paid off, instead of just my minimum payment. By doing it this way, it is much more motivational to me to keep going.0 -

You don't care about interest?!!?! I begrudge every penny in interest, hence why I've got a lot of my debt on 0% cards.
Honestly - pay off that Very account, the interest is shocking:eek:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Agreed!
Yes pay the minimum payments to all the debts, but any extra money you have throw at the high interest cards!! Thats just common sense!
Im sorry but i am finding it difficult to give you advice - you quite clearly dont want to hear it.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I have been reading this thread and following littlepinkstars for a while and I just cant believe that someone of your age can be so immature...
At your age I used this site to become debt free, at your age I took every piece of advice anyone on this website was going to throw at me... even if I didnt agree/thought it was stupid. I may have at the time but once I took on thier advice and acted on it it worked I became debt free :j
You have to realise that unless you are going to do something about this debt yourself nothing will happen. Posting your soa every few months isnt going to make the debt go away. No one here has a magic wand that can make it all better. You need to put some hard work in and start taking some responsibility for yoru actions/choices.
If you look back at my previous posts on one of your many diarys you can see me spelling everything out from budgeting/spending diarys/food etc etc. That was in October and nothing has changed, and as seen your debt has increased. I believe in a few years time as predicted by pointypenguin you will be back, no doubt under a different user name asking how to file for Bankruptcy. I am sorry if that sounds harsh but it will become reality if you dont change something now!!
You are an adult, adults have to plan for the future, I guess you dont want to be still at home in your 40's/50'sThat means no debts, savings and even a mortgage (which incedentily has to be payed by direct debit) etc etc. Just because you are a student or work part-time doesnt give you the choice of being an adult or not. You are one you have to act like one!
I hope in a few months time you have your real LBM and you decide that in order to have a better life in the future you have to take a few months/a year out to tackle this debt. Once you have reached that point come back and we will all help you with open arms. At the moment your blahsay attitude means no-one wants to help anymore. Please dont push the people that are willing to help you (free or charge) away.
Take care

Littlepinkstars44 I can understand about you not caring about the interest rates. I didn't for a long time, infact when I did my SOA I had no clue what the apr was or where I could find it out. But now is the time for you to do so.
On the VERY debt they are adding 40p for every £1 you owe them. So say you owe them £50 they will add £20. If you then only pay off £20 the debt will not go down, if you paid £20 and then whatever change you had in your purse your debt would go down. Even if it was only £2 from your purse the next month they would only add £19.20 in interest so just by paying the same £20 you will reduce the debt further.
I didn't realise you had a penny pot that you were using until I read these last comments. I too suggest you stop it for a couple of months. Just until you get used to living within the soa and budget sheet you supplied. Once you are 100% sure you are living how the sheets say you are then you can start it again and be serious with it.0 -

Completely agree!
Littlepinkstars44 I'm a year older than you and a few years ago I was in the exact same situation as you
Granted I was 18 so I could get away with the stamping feet/I don't care attitude
At that age I didn't care about APR either. If I made a payment each month then that was good enough for me
But then I had an accident and was off work for a few weeks, I didn't lose out on much money but it was enough for me to miss a few payments
It snowballed from there, at the age of 21 I was just under £20 grand in debt and my credit file was wrecked
If you don't get these debts sorted now whilst your living a cushty life at home, paying peanuts for rent then how do you think you're going to cope in your own place when you have bills flying out your !!!!?
Or do you fancy being that person that's stuck living at home with their mum for the next 10 years?Future Mrs Gerard Butler

There seems to be a recurring theme of the same few people following LittlePinkStars and the various threads and SOAs, giving great advice and (most of) it falling on deaf ears...
I can't remember who said it but I really do think that you will be back here in the future with massive debts/bankruptcy and really needing the help. You're in the position now where you can easily get yourself out of debt and have a fresh start while you have few responsibilities!
Do you never think about having your own place? I cannot wait to own my own home and that is my big motivation for being debt-free. You should think of something that motivates you. I'm lucky in that I don't like going out drinking or whatever so I don't waste my money on that. I also rarely go clothes shopping so store cards aren't a temptation for me. But that sort of thing is obviously a 'thing' for you at the moment, which obviously is kinda understandable seeings as you're young.
I guess what I'm trying to say is either, take the advice (whether you like it or not, it's right) and get debt-free, or stop posting threads and SOAs and wasting people's time when you're obviously not willing to put the effort in!
I do wish you luck if you decide to get on with it - it's not easy paying off debt when there's 1001 other things you'd rather spend the money on.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

No, i don't think about moving out. And i don't really want to move out and get my own place anytime soon.0

Well without meaning to sound completely rude and harsh thats pretty lucky. If you dont change your ways and carry on spending at the same rate you will be posting an SOA with debts of ten of thousands of pounds. Do you really still want to be relying on your mother for a home when your 40 years old?Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0
