Hi, I have searched every possible way, and it doesn't seem to have been put up here yet.
We (I use the term loosely!) got it right last month, although not so sure its worth all the effort - last winner was from USA so if its open world wide, chance of a win seem slim...

Erm... sorry for bumping my own post

Anyone want to get us started
:rotfl::rotfl:
I have no thoughts yet apart from resting place of Wellington being St Paul's. Authors buried there include Sir Walter De La Mare, John Donne and Samuel Pepys... Not sure about the wind rocking the pulpit though :rotfl:JNOQRYZAnti-Aging SerumBallet ticketsCash (£125)Diamond earringsEssential OilFlash FebrezeGourmet pizzasHairbrushesIWOOT VoucherKeyring (Creme egg)LucozadeMoney (£100)Peroni CoasterSt Helier TShirt(s!)Toy shape sorterUdderly smoothVoucher car washWeekend to ScotlandXplory Buggy:j0 -
Not sure if it's any use, but there's a rock called the Pulpit at Brimham Rocks. There's also one called the Duke's Nose (not sure if it's related to Wellington, but there's a local pub called the Wellington Inn at Darley).
As I say, it may not be related at all, but the names made me think locally (I'm just up the road from Brimham in North Yorkshire btw!)0 -
There's a Pulpit Rock in Weymouth.

Is it me, or is there a typo on line 4? "Then stand then"?

I wondered about that too.....there have been typos in the past!

OK - been googling madly, but tired, so will put in my two penn'orth...
Trying to think obscurely... I thought the use of the word 'Way' may refer to a Roman Road, so searched some of those. Then thought 47 (the Roman Numerals) may refer to the A47.
Peddars Way is in Norfolk, and crosses the A47 just east of Swaffham (from HERE).
Continuing the Norfolk theme, I find that the Duke of Wellington's eldest son (and, therefore, the second Duke of Wellington) lived at Hilborough Hall (from HERE).
I figure the writer will be an anagram of a writer's name, but am trying to work back to that one...
I know that this is approaching the first couple of clues from a couple of different angles, but may be of help?0 -
Ok had a quick look
There's a Pulpit Rock in Dorset (Portland Bill )"Every time you feel yourself getting pulled into someone else's nonsense, tell yourself: Not my circus, not my monkeys." - Mark Borkowski.

"Put the creature with child in a room that's reversed".
I'd guess that a room that's reversed is MOOR.

Yeah, I thought that too and was going to just follow that never mind the earlier clues! But couldn't bear the search results that would be brought up looking for child and Yorkshire Moors.JNOQRYZAnti-Aging SerumBallet ticketsCash (£125)Diamond earringsEssential OilFlash FebrezeGourmet pizzasHairbrushesIWOOT VoucherKeyring (Creme egg)LucozadeMoney (£100)Peroni CoasterSt Helier TShirt(s!)Toy shape sorterUdderly smoothVoucher car washWeekend to ScotlandXplory Buggy:j0
