    QUOTE..
Buy a bottle of the cheapest vodka you can find and flavour it by putting in sweets or fruit. !
I just made toffee vodka using a packet of Werther's originals (hard ones). !
The vodka disolves the sweets. !
It's really delicious and I don't even like vodka! !
Other good ones to try are Extra Strong Mints, chocolate, pear drops. !
Or for a more culinary treat use lemon grass, chilli's, peppercorn's etc - these are good with bloody mary's (excellent for hangovers!).

liquorice is good for this too, though takes ages to disolve. sadly doesn't work with malteasers.

Does anybody know when the best time to start making this is?

Last year I made some chilli vodka two weeks before christmas and it was a bit too strong, so I'll be making this a week before this year.

How long do the mints and hard boiled sweets actually take to dissolve?

    Thanks

Can I just point out aswell, Boots are doing their Christmas shopping nights again this year. It is worth checking out in your local Boots store when this is if you buy a lot of gifts from Boots for Christmas as they usually give extra points if you spend over a certain amount.

Last year I spent £125 on gifts on the night and received £55 back in points.

    Hope this Helps.

There is one in Queen Street, Cardiff Boots on Thursday 26th October and one in November sone time.
