  • Not a freebie, but more of an idea after reading the posts about baskets of smellies and things - what about something for the chef of the family? Asda do stainless steel balti dishes (the round ones with a handle each side) for a couple of quid - could be filled with little jars of fancy spices etc?

I love this idea, it will go really well with my homemade chilli oil!:T :T :T

CHRIST people, I START on xmas eve. no joke.

I used to start like the week before, this year, done it 3 months earlier, and paid a third of the cost - so when xmas comes, I can work more and more hours, and earn loads of spare revenue!

This is what our family and friends decided to do last year...

We agreed to spend a maximum of £5 per person on gifts which made the Festive Season much more enjoyable and affordable. My partner and I had vouchers and freebies to use up so Xmas became very cost effective for us.

You'll be amazed at how many nice pressies we received and everyone was so pleased with the way things turned out that we have agreed to do it again this year:santa2:

not a freebie but might be useful
    for anyone making up hampers
    or baskets with perfumed items
or teddies with chocolates bubblebaths etc

Look for your nearest flower shop
and ask if you can buy 1 or 2 metres
of the cellophane they use to wrap
the flowers in.I have done this often in the
past and found them quite obliging the most
I have paid was one shop that charged 80p and
it was nearly two metres long but 33 inches
wide.It went a long way and gave everything a really
good bought in a shop look

I went to a floral supplies warehouse about 8 years ago and bought a whole roll of bouquet wrap - it cost me 15.00 but I still have half of it left! I have used it for bouquets..baby baskets..xmas prezzys..wrapping party gifts and prizes...in fact so many things I cannot think of them all. It really does give your prezzy the edge!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)
