Interesting thread...
I'm proud that my clothes and most of my shoes now come from charity shops, ebay and supermarkets and having ventured up town recently I am now horrified at paying more than £20 for a skirt! I'm less proud of the debts I ran up on my store cards and credit cards from buying clothes and shoes that I previously thought were a "bargain"
I'm proud that I mostly cook from scratch and have started making bread. I'm less proud that I only bake bread occasionally when the mood takes me
I'm proud that I'm paying off all my debts (slowly but steadily) but less proud that it's only recently reduced down to less than my years salary.

Interesting thread...
I always something I've forgotten after doing a food shop.
We have a small white board on he kitchen wall and I am slowly training OH to write down anything he uses the last of. I use this as the basis of the shopping list marking these items in capital letters so I know we are short. THEN I check the cupboards etc.

This is such a brilliant thread - thank you for starting it!
I am proud that I joined a book club as I now read books I would previously never have picked up and in the process learn something new. I am also proud that I started using the local Library. I am less proud this has incurred the occasional fine
I am proud that I shared a pile of my favourite magazine (for its recipes) with my friend as she realised how much I enjoyed reading it and bought me a subscription to the magazine for Christmas. I am less proud that I had such a massive pile of not-so-good magazines. But I'm proud I donated them all to the local hospital for various wards and waiting rooms. And I'm proud I've not bought a magazine for months!
I am proud that I now take packed lunch to work most days. I am less proud that I sometimes get envious of colleagues when they go
I am not proud of being envious of colleagues and friends when they share their holiday stories with me. But I am proud that I got up early to register for Glastonbury and then weeks later religious hit refresh on my screen to buy the tickets themselves. (I still cannot believe how many amazing bands I get to see for the price over the course of a weekend.)
I am not proud that I currently have no savings. I am proud that I am now in a position to open an ISA :T
I am proud that when I moved to London I sold my car. I am less proud that for the first year I stuck religiously to the underground network and its map and didn't explore the city by bus and of course on foot. I am proud that I now look at walking rather then tubing whenever possible. I am less proud that I often opt for a bus in the morning when I could walk:p
I am proud that I have started making my own bread. I am proud that I almost always cook from scratch. I am proud that I have a list of store cupboard items.
I am proud that I have gone from taking 3 sugars in my tea (January 2008) to now taking a level teaspoon in my tea. I am proud that I no longer have several cups of tea in the office and instead have a stash of pepermint teabags and ask for "just hot water" whenever there is a tea-round. Less caffeine and less sugar :T
Ooh I have so much to be proud of! This was a brilliant idea - thank you!Proud to be dealing with my debt0
