Hmmmm not sure what to do now!

I've phoned Orange and said what I'm after...
I was offered:
Free Blackberry Bold 9700 on Panther 30
1600 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Internet & Blackberry Bundle
24 month contract
£25 a month
or
Free Blackberry Curve 8900 on Panther 30
1200 Minutes
1500 Texts
Unlimited Internet & Blackberry Bundle
18 month contract
£25 a month
I don't really want a 24m contract, so asked how much the 9700 would be on the same tariff but 18m contract, and was told £49.99
Looking at the website and going through a cashback site, I would pay £99.99 but potentially get £80 cashback, so the phone would cost me £20. I did mention this, but don't think it went down too well and they said the offers above were the best they could do.
I know the deals they offered are good, but not sure about the 24m contract
............ Told them I needed to think about it
Woohooo I'd not even finished typing this out and they've phoned back with a better deal! He said he phoned Loyalty team back as he didn't like to think they were being beaten by a third party website!
So I'm now signed up for
Free Blackberry Bold 9700 on Dolphin 40
1600 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Internet & Blackberry Bundle
18 month contract
£25 a month
EXACTLY what I wanted :j so I'm very happy now! Thanks for all the help and advice, and it just shows, it's worth waiting and not jumping straight in with what they offer you.:T:heart: I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?

Did they just upgrade your PAYG or was it a new contract, then port your number across??0 -

Thats an outstanddddding deal. Damn i feel cheated. I signed up for a worse package for £30 the other day. Damn damn damn. Wonder if I could return this, get an orange PAYG sim, then run thru the whole process again.0

vickster*arsenal that's an amazing deal. I have 2 Orange PAYG SIMs but only use them for Orange Wednesday. Can I ask if you used to top up regularly? Did you top up lots? I would LOVE to be able to get your deal but can't see anyway of getting it as I've never topped up my credit (so far)!!

Bump. Has anyone else managed to get a good deal from Orange with the 9700?0

I'd been topping up £20-30 a month and previously on orange contract so there was definitely a loyalty discount, but it's still worth a try...
I don't think they liked the fact that I said I was considering going thru a cashback website, as that's when they phoned me back.
Good luck to anyone else who tries, oh and I love the phone even if orange did mess up when setting it up! I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?
