:)Ok, Just taken Demon Baby to GP for regular development check. I asked about her speech, which isn't as good as I hoped and they have suggested that it may be related to her hearing. She failed her 10 month hearing test as she had a bit of a cold and I was told they'd send out a new appt. I have been asking the health visitors about this since she was 16 months old and they kept saying they'd sort it but now she is 2 and 9 months and suddenly they're saying it's urgent!
We are also waiting for more eye tests as she has astigmatism.
Hopefully all these things can be sorted easily enough. I am mad with myself as When I was bad with post natal depression, one of my stranger symtoms was imagineing that she had all sorts of health problems. Rationnally I knew she was ok, so I wasn'tat the GP every day or anything, but now think I should have chased the hearing test up a little more forcefully, but I didn't want to be seen as neurotic!!:(
You now have to imagine a short sighted, hard of hearing Damian who can't speak clearly:rotfl:oh yeah and a female version!:)Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Hun, health visitors are hillarious! Because they didn't follow it up when they should have and now someone is suggesting there might be an issue with her speech, they have decided its urgent and right on cue, you feel guilty!

Had night out with dh last night, while lovely mom looked after the kids - picking them up this afternoon:j
Anyway talked about little one and dh reminded me that he has hearing problems and he has a lazy eye - exactly why I'm so worried, couldn't cope with another one like him.:rotfl:
On the bright side, we only spent £25 and had a lovely relaxing kids-free evening and now feeling refreshed and ready to ebay;)Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -

Morning,
Got back from 2 (expensive;)) days in London last night. Went with my sister and her 2 children. THe kids were all great, but tbh the change in routine was a little unsettling for me and I struggled a little bit. Anyway, we got back, feeling shattered. Demon baby was so tired she fell asleep on train at 6pm and slept through being put in a pushchair, getting off train, on and off bus, transfer to car seat, then being brought into house and put into bed - RESULT!!!:)
We booked travelodege for £9, train fare was £40 return for family, but meals out were expensive - especially the alcohol bill:rotfl: Worth it though, we had a good time.
Thinking of going camping for a night or 2 later in the week, but need to have a rest first and more importantly check the forecast.I love camping but not in the rain.:)
Got to goand check my bank statement now - wish me luck;)Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Glad you had a good time! I love London but haven't been for a couple of years..
Camping sounds lovely. I'm hoping the weather will be nice for the rest of the week- was abit grey yesterday but lovely and sunny today!0
