Oh god, I've made him sound like a child haven't I?!
When ever people ask how many kids I have, I always say 5 - but I'm married to 1:rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
OK, got on computer before kids got up!
:jDid soa with dh. He was sooo shocked (after he'd done a bit of sulking:rotfl:) He kept saying things like - I didn't know you'd done these balance transfers... I tell him before I do any, just proof to me that he's not listening.
Anyway hopefully, I have shocked him into being more responsible - watch this space!! At least he can now understand why I am constantly nagging him about money.:o
Updated my signature - very little change this month but at least it hasn't gone up!:)
Off to sort the wardrobe....Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -

Keep thinking positive Cialilerin;)
I know I feel my debt busting seems to have slowed/stalled, but I have to keep reminding myself that it hasn't gone up. Pre DFW days I would have just kept spending and would no doubt by now have been well over the £50k debt mark:eek:
The debt may seem slow to come down at the moment, and sometimes it may seem to just stagnate and not move at all....but that is better than not going up because at least you are clearing the interest payments each month, and hopefully a bit more.
Glad you showed your DH your SOA....mine still has his head in the sand a bit....he knows the overall number and knows we are working hard to pay debts off but still moans about 'being so broke' and would without doubt not think twice about spending on his CC if he wanted something badly enough:mad: He has yet to understand the difference between want and need - but in reality he is not too bad with his wants so I can't moan too much:)
I have been squirrelling away small amounts to our savings for rainy days (can't help it I just feel the need to have a safety net at the moment) and now have a few hundred quid put away and he often says 'well we could use that money'.....he struggles to comprehend the point of NSDs:(NR [STRIKE]£5542[/STRIKE]£2771 BC [STRIKE]£7987[/STRIKE]£7700 BC [STRIKE]£3000[/STRIKE]£5100 Cat1 Pd Cat2 Pd Ulstr [STRIKE]£3400[/STRIKE]£3070 TSB [STRIKE]£4851[/STRIKE]£4400 MBNA [STRIKE]£7700[/STRIKE]£3887 NWst [STRIKE]£950[/STRIKE] £700 Hfx [STRIKE]£10097[/STRIKE]£10050 Asda [STRIKE]£398[/STRIKE] £315 HFX1 Pd Hfx2 [STRIKE]£3133[/STRIKE] £3000

DH went to the shop today and actually told me what he was getting and checked if we had enough money in bank for it - now this is progress!!:j
Took dd's 3 & 4 swimming today, feel very virtuous as normally hate swimming!!;) Found out that in Birmingham swimming is free for adults if they sign up for a free leisure card. Obviously I didn't have the necessary id to get the card:( but have form so I can get it next time. Will also be able to use the gyms before 5 on weekdays (not too useful as I work!!) and after 1 at weekend - got to lose the weight somehow!;)
Going to make the most of good weather tomorrow and taking kids out for picnic at Warwick Castle - having a being a good mom weekend!!:rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Had a lovely day, made picnic and just sat in a field letting the kids run wild. Resisted ice creams at £1.60 each (there are 6 of us!!;))
Came home and finished the ironing. Tomorrow I can just sit back and enjoy my last day off with the kids, then back to work on Monday for a rest!!:rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Hi C
Long time no speak. Keep up the good work, you're doing really well.:T It sounds as though I come from the same part of the country as you!
Thanks for your advice on my diary. Have taken a chill pill and am fairly back to normal now!! I had a lovely few days off at Easter with DD's but my was it expensive!!!
I've changed the amounts on my sig and am getting back into the MSE way but I have decided to leave my diary for a while.

Hello,
Just updated my signature and my debts are now ONLY £47,703.:mad: I'm not sure how much I've paid off as I know that I hadn't done it accurately at the beginning, but I'm fairly sure that this is accurate now. Feeling quite happy now that I can see it coming down.:)
Haven't been around for a while as I was trying to get back into swing of work and was too exhausted to get on computer at night!!
My demon baby hasn't got a place at any of the local school nurseries for September so finding it all too stressful as not only do I worry about the financial implications, but because of her speech problems, she needs to be with other children!
Took today off work as my head was pounding this morning, feel so stressed but there is little I can do!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120
