Yes, I think that's how it works.

When you connect your mp3 player to the computer probably an icon will show. Also maybe the player will show as another drive in 'My Computer'.

Perhaps you could start another thread and ask for recommendations where to get mp3 downloads, and the prices.

Meantime try and borrow some CDs and learn how to rip them to mp3 tracks. This is the moneysavingexpert website.

should i start a new thread about this >>> one other question please i've no idea what music sites to use no good me googling as i'll just click any site i'm worried about my using illegal sites idon'tmind paying for any music is there any site are trustworthy well as far as trustworthy can be i know nothings really trustworthy

someone told me it was 99p per recored from itunes wow so to download 20 tracks is £20.00 hell of a lot of money.

Wanted to say thanks for asking the question as some of your chat on this has been of great use as we do not all know what the heck we are doing in cyberspace so please do not think that you are alone.

I have 2 players and none are what I want which is a an FM radio and something easy to download CDs I own and can download podcasts so that I can find them on the darn thing after.

Tell me a decent, low cost, contraption that does that so I can stop using my dated but familiar phone for the radio when out walking and something that I will be able to take on my hols and I will be a happy bunny. I have resisted I-phone/pod etc as I just will not use all the features. I want only what I need.
