If like me you have put on a few excess lbs that you would like to shed during 2010 then join in.

I am starting this to help me keep motivated without having to spend money on a particular weightloss programme.

I am happy to track anyones progress on a weightloss tracker spreadsheet......... DFWweightlosstracker

All you have to do is let me know how many lbs you would like to lose througout this challenge and I shall update the spreadsheet weekly.

Please join me in this challenge as I just know that with the support and inspiration of the wonderful people of DFW that we can make excellent progress together.

So whether you want to do this by cutting down, doing more exercise or following a particular weight loss programme just throw your hat in the ring and lets get started:j

Weigh in will be over a window of 2 days over the weekend as I will not have time to update the spreadsheet during the week. To let me know your losses can you please post the amount IN RED as this means I can spot them easily. Please feel free to check the Spreadsheet when you like and inform me of any descrepancies.

:dance:Dance of the Day..............

I reckon that having a good old mad dance brightens your day, raises energy levels and burns off a few excess calories too. So every day I shall post a dance of the day.

Dont be shy now, get your hairbrush microphones out and go mad

I would like to lose 10lbs in the next 10 weeks, I plan to do this by.
    • Preparing healthy (but cheap) lunches to take to work
    • Re start my excercise by walking with OH for 3 miles at least 3 times a week
    • Stay away from the takeaway
    • No booze for January:o
This time next week I shall weigh 1 lb lighter than I do today:D

I've been intending to lose a bit of weight and I suppose the start of 2010 is a good time to start :j

I haven't seriously tried to lose weight before, but my diet is terrible and my exercise (other than my walk to work) is non-existent. So my aim is to eat healthier, and cheaper, and do some more exercise. I'm going to aim to lose 7lb in 2 months. Baby steps.

I'll join you! Weightwatchers etc is just too much money. My boyfriend will weigh me each week. And the mortification of that will make me be good (I hope):rotfl:

I'm in (as always  ) Thanks for setting it up Lou.

My big goal is to lose another 30lbs, this will get me right back down to my mini weight. I have a dim and distant memory of how I used to be and it was better than being miss fattymcbutterpants.

However, I usually sign up for these things, manage 10lbs, and maintain for a couple of months before I get going again, so maybe I should just go for 10lbs in phase 1

  • 14 pounds first off,

Next week I am food diarying 'till I work out what is what and how I need to eat to keep myself going.

Then it will be Weight Watchers and for January a straightforward walking programme.

    Cheers Lou xxxxx

    and me please :D

I'll be following the slimming world plan, though not going to classes, just using me books ;)

I havent thought of a goal, looking at it as more of a change in lifestyle really rather than a diet. As well as eating healthier, I've given up booze for a while and aim to exercise 30 minutes, 5 times a week. Hmmmm what shall my goal be
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
