Neff oven not at right temperature

Hi all,
Have installed a new Neff series 3 B15p42 oven and I'm now starting to think that it doesn't go up to the right temperature.
Things are taking longer than the last oven I used and cakes aren't rising as much. Tonight the home made pizza was on 200C for 20 minutes and it wasn't crispy in the middle.
It doesn't have the blast furnace heat that I'm used to when using a fan oven.
Any ideas?

We used one of these http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=36138 to check our oven. The probe can be held in place with the door seal and the display left out. We did this to our 15 year old oven and put a chart up on the wall for which setting gives which temperature. You will have to take an average because the oven temperature will go up and down with the thermostat. So set 180 degrees, will go from 185 to 175 but this is OK. Yours is new so should be right, if not, take it back.

The instructions for my fan oven say that cooking should be done at 20 degrees C lower than you would use in a conventional oven
There is no need to pre-heat and cooking times should be reduced by 10 minutes per hour.
If you have moved to a conventional oven you will need to remember to pre-heat before cooking, increase the temperature by 20 degrees and increase the cooking time.
Yes yes I know all that. I'm saying I think the temperature of the fan assisted oven isn't right.
The cooking times are not shorter and it doesn't feel quite so hot.0 -
Then you need to test it with a calibrated thermometer. Then go back to the supplier of the oven if it falls below +-5%0

I’ve re-read your first post and you seem to be saying there that your old oven was a fan oven and the new one is not.
Is it me?

it has a fan assist and conventional oven function. I've tried both and they are not what i'm used to.
the fan assist (for pizza tonight) didn't feel quite as blast furnace hot
and conventional oven (top and bottom heat) made my sponge a bit flat.
edit to add:
the turkey took an hour longer than the temperature it stated as well.
think it's time to invest in an oven thermometer. poo0 -
oo nice oven, just got one like it0

Hi, MK: just a random thought ...is the oven hard wired or on a plug? You could also try a post on UKwhitegoods as many appliance pros frequent the forums.

It's hardwired so should be drawing the correct amount of electrickery.
I keep thinking it's me and not the oven as I spent enough on precision german engineering!0
