Your thoughts on swine flu jab for under 2's

I had both flu jabs (one in each arm) in November. I felt very unwell for several days afterwards, but I may have been going down with something anyway.0

This is one i keep pondering over too. So far we havent been called for the swine flu jab even tho my 6yr old is Asthmatic and i also have a 18 month old, 10yr old and 12 yr old.
My older 2 children and my youngest are very well and fit and never had any health problems to date. My youngest does have a few off days after she has had her jabs in the past (the MMR etc etc).
I think i will definately let my 6yr old have the jab. As soon as she gets a cold or ear infection she struggles badly with her Asthma and usually ends up in hospital with a attack. Still pondering over my other 3 children tho........Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -

I know that no medical advice is allowed on the boards, but just after a few opinions on swine flu jabs for an under 2 (21 months).
DD has been offered one but am in 2 minds as to whether to take it up. Has your little one had one?
BTW, DD is very healthy with no known medical conditions, not terribly prone to illness thus far (fingers crossed) if that makes any difference0 -
Just to add to my earlier post, all my children are normally fit and healthy with no underlying illnesses, very unusual for them to be ill at all which I think is the difference with this flu. Have weighed my 6yr old today, and over the holidays whilst being ill he's lost over half a stone which is why he looks so terrible still.Too many children, too little time!!!0
