Hi everyone.
Thriftypixie, I agree with you about the ice driving. I don't live all that far from work, it's about a 15 minute drive away, but some days I have seriously thought about turning round and going home again as alot of it is down icy back streets. One of the 6th formers cars actually slid right out of the school car park the other day!
Sorry to hear about your crappy day Mary, at least you have managed to get the money together. I would feel mightily :mad::mad: about the flipping supermarket. Don't feel bad about 'robbing' your kids though - it's only a temporary thing, see it as them contributing to the household! You are going to replace it eventually anyway aren't you so it's only a short term thing. Stick an extra £5er on top for interest if it makes you feel better! (I'm from the same view as DT though - I'd be secretly hoping the car ran out of petrol! Only somewhere nice though, not too far from anywhere!)
Talking of cars, mine has just had its work done to pass the MOT so I just have to get it retested now, should come in just on the £100 I budgeted so it wasn't a bad guess. Wouldn't have been much nicer if I could have padded that money though!
Hope your trip home goes ahead Euro, it's be awful if you couldn't make it again.
Sorry about the long post but I'm taking refuge online as the b/f is watching that 'Glee' thing - I have never in my life seen such a badly put together program, it's shocking!

Thanks Silaqui,
I'm definitely going to replace it and the interest thing is a good idea!
Thing is though, I never realised how much the kids had...might have to rob them more often! :rotfl:
I'll know about 10ish if he's run out of petrol, I've been asking him not to use the car as it's £115.9 a litre and I can't keep topping it up!
I do feel better already though, my mood started yesterday morning when I ran to switch the pc on thinking it was paydayonly to find out that that's not until next week!
I'll be fine and dandy next Tuesday!

another day, another trip to the vet - so another small pad. 18p padette to the pots.
leah is okay, but only okay - she has been on special (read: expensive) food from the vet for the last 6 days due to her bottom problems. mixed in a bit of iams at lunch as instructed by the vet and, as described by DH, "poo soup!":eek: i swear it's worse than having a baby! so i am not looking forward to putting her to bed tonight due to what state i will likely find her in tomorrow monring, poor little thing...
bigger problems in the world, i know, but have been feeling put out all day. must be something in the air - or the snow?
keep warm, peeps! xxx ttbMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
