I think being scared is probably just a natural feeling under the circumstances. If you are clinically depressed then there is help out there for you and if you need to, grab it with both hands. It must have been hard on you to watch your mum go through it but you've got a (despite waking you up inthe middle of the night to tell you about his crap shift!) lovely, supportive OH who'll be there for you every step of the way...and us of course!

:rotfl::rotfl:Yes he does have his bad points aswell!

I agree though, i have an immense amount of suppport. I rang my mum after i had visited the doctors, was actually very emotional as she admitted it is something she has always feared would happen. She told me everything leading up to her eventual clinical diagnosis and the help she received.

Whilst i remember it being awful for her at the time, she probably didnt have as much support as is available now. I guess the fact that she was a single mother with no family close by didnt help either, so in that respect i am lucky.

I have been given alot of information - leaflets etc from the doctor, but obviously is quite a worrying/nerve-wracking time.

Trying to look on the bright side that at least i have good friends, family and of course the PAD gang!!

Once again thank you for your kind words yesterday - he is very shaken but i think he is more upset that he couldnt defend himself. It was a bit of an eye opener to read some of your experiences too.
