Congrats from me too Pixie:j and I hope all you wannabe fiancees take advantage of valentine's day... otherwise you might have to wait for Pixie's wedding and fight over the bouquet (sp?) ...
Oops ..nearly forgot ...Well done fiend!:T

I don't really 'believe' in Valentine's day. Neither does the other half. We prefer to have an evening in together and then take advantage of reduced price chocs etc after the date. :D

And, I've already caught a bouquet. My SIL purposely threw it at me at my brother's wedding in July (little did I know that she had a mirror in front of her!). I gracefully caught it with my face :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I just need to be patient. It's obviously on his mind as he's been talking about it and kids quite a bit recently, and affording a wedding etc. Funny though, last night he tried to tell me that 'You only want 2 children darling'. Had to remind him that whilst that is correct, twins run in the family, so could end up with more! lol

Our anniversary is coming up at end of this month. Yay. Have to think of something nice, but inexpensive, for us to do. :D How very MSE of me!

    Congrats to your friend! :D

I think the OH realises that I'm getting a bit broody also, as I keep oohhing and ahhing over kids and babies on TV etc. But he seems to be taking it in his stride, making jokes as usual. lol. The funniest so far is 'Oh no, what gene pool have I got myself involved with. Our kids our gonna have big ears!':rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (I had mine pinned back when I was 12).

Ah, I love his sense of humour. He makes me laugh so much sometimes. :D

Oh, and you're not Scrooges. It's just that Valentine's means nothing to us personally. We prefer to randomly treat each other and be romantic as often as possible, or when it's an important date to us.

The thought of being crammed into an overcrowded restaurant, eating a set menu, with an inflated price doesn't seem romantic to me. In fact, the thought of it brings me out in cold sweats. *shiver*

  • Hiya peeps!

And I have some good news, which might affect my PADs (or, at least, what they're used for)...I got engaged on Monday! :D

Couldn't wait I had to check my budget, food cupboards etc to see if I could do this.

Final payment of £19.60 to cc account and I've just closed the account.

I'm told they don't send you a final statement saying 'account paid and closed' and there may be a sentence saying 'missed payment' on the final statement as that's how their systems work. I'll keep an eye on it anyway.

Well done fiend must be a great feeling :T:T
Can you send them my way too? Mr Fresian must have forgotten to propose....it's only been nine and a half years *REALLY misses the rolling eyes smiley!*

:rotfl::rotfl: aawww but at least you live together!! I've been with OH 4 years in May and he's just moved 5 miles nearer!!! Now we're only 30 miles apart :p
