Hi everyone,
Havent been around much recently, payday tomorrow so hopefully will be able to put a chunk into the savings.
Had a pretty awful day today. The drink driver that knocked my friend down was sentenced today - he got 5 years in prison and a 3 year driving ban  . Relieved he is being punished, but to me 5 years doesnt seem long enough for killing a young girl with her whole life ahead of her.
Feels like i have taken another step back with the grieving. OH being a sweetie as usual - doing his best.
On the plus side, have managed to pick up quite a few extra hours at work. I am only contracted to 24 hours a week, but working 39 for the next few weeks - means some extra pennies for the moving house fund
They base the sentence on what he has done rather than who he has done it to. So same sentence for a child or an OAP. I think they also distinguish between someone who has been clearly drinking recklessly and someone who strayed a small amount over the limit - probably by accident. I don't know which category this driver came into. I know this is no help to you but the law does tend to step back and leave emotion out of the picture. I suppose this is right really as I could have cheerfully killed the person who burgled my flat many years ago - which is clearly out of proportion to the crime.
I hope you gradually find some kind of resolution in all this.0 -

Hi all!
I have Davina's high energy 5 and the super body one - you can't half tell you've done it! I like the boxing workout on the HE5, great fun! 'Super sculpt' is a killer on the legs...
O.k so I've just done 'super sculpt' and although I feel like I've done some exercise, I didn't feel the burn...I must have done something different to what Davina was doing, judging by her face she was feeling the burn! The female trainer is right lazy isn't she?!!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

Which is exactly why i am so disgusted. He drove after spending the night drinking, he then killed an innocent bystander. Your right they do completely leave emotion out of it - which is fair enough really. But in my mind hes basically a murderer, and he could be walking the streets within 3 or 4 years if he behaves himself in prison, whats more he will be driving again :mad:Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
