    you can buy a big bottle of pre mixed screenwasher from poundland. good stuff and it doesn't freeze in winter.

    just thought i'd add my two pence worth :D

    You've done the right thing, first step is to flush that stuff down the toilet, where it can get treated and removed from the water.

    Now, I would just fill up with water and screenwash and forget about it.
    But you could fill with a little hot water and flush that out aswell before filling the bottle with proper stuff.

    hot as in from the tap right, ok ill pour a little in

    the washer bottle will either have a rubber bung at the bottom for emptying or it will have the pump which can be removed for emptying, remove and empty then flush through with a few litres of water, simples
    Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

    what i did was un attach the pipes that go to the 2 washer spouts on the bonnet and put the end in a bucket and got rid of the screenwash and then poured some water in and repeated it once more and re fill the bottle with more screenwash minus the AF

    ive just thought, i didnt run the rear washer but theres only the 1reservoir for both front and rear screen right

    Just run the rear washer until the new fluid comes through, then thoroughly rinse the old stuff from the bodywork.
  • What's wrong with pre-mixed windscreen wash? I got 2.5 litres for £1 at Asda a few weeks ago and I'm using it now.
  • Have you managed to empty it, im not sure if your allowed to empty anti freeze down the drains have you got an empty bottle you can put it in, then drop it off at a recycle place or garage, I thought it was poisinous.

    Ethylene glycol based af is poisonous and if it's ingested can cause problems.

    Halford's screenwash (used that cos it's on the web !) is £4.99 for 5L, that will make up to 100L. In winter, I would suggest 5 to 1 mix = 25 Litres.

    It is on offer at the moment "3 for price of 2" = 75 Litres for £9.98 = 12.8p/litre.

    Asda = 40p/litre: Halfords = 12.8p/litre. Discuss !
