Beanie, whats the snow like up there now? We have had another couple of inches today again, totally sick of it now.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

pap - tell me to mind my own beeswax BUT could you not support charity by buying stuff from their shops rather than making a donation if money is tight for you ? XX

Well I do already Ellidee, mainly books though :o However I am fed up with collecting 'stuff' in my room. I have given stuff to charity shops and donate using big events/collection tins etc. But I wanted something more and something monthly, like what I used to do years ago :D Money isnt exactly tight but obviously with debt it does look tight but can spare the odd £10 a month, it saves spending it on junk/clutter and ultimately food when I refeed

I was thinkig today - while reading stuff for my assignment at the gym - how much of my life I had wasted being in debt! A group of people came in - were having some sort of tennis tournament - they were all around my age - over 40 anyway - I suddenly realised that all I have ever done is work and try to juggle house kids study and full time work since I was 21! I have no time for hobbies and feel guilty if I am doing anything for myself! I was out all day today - came home to piles of washing and ironing and untidiness and clutter everywhere - no matter what I do and how hard I work I never get to the end of the list of things to do!!!
Haven't started my assignement - spent all night on here! BUT Spuds post made me really think about how to regain some perspectve!

Self pittying whinge over! Thanks Spud!

Thanks Judi. I of all people should have been living like this all along. My dad didnt make 40, and my mum didnt make 50 but it was my DH who has made me rethink things.

It started with the Christmas tree. I've always wanted a real one, had the same conversation with him every year but then this year he said something that just clicked.

He simply said 'how many years are you going to want one and not get one? We're not getting any younger, and one year it will be too late' So, I got my first ever real tree, but since then I've really changed - doing things I want to do.

Often only little things like lighting some of the bleedin candles I've bought over the years but never lit. What the hell was I saving them for?

My big achievement will sound so stupid, but DH is so proud of me because he knows how scared I was. I've opened a bottle of fizzy wine. Yes I know its daft, but I could never even be in the same room when a bottle was being opened, so to open them myself is such a huge thing for me.
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

None of those are daft Spud, I hate those bottle things and have also over come my fear to open one- was well chuffed. And so should you be!

And I am so SICK of saving stuff for a special occasion

Hang on let me see if I can find that story thing.

Well done on all of it Spud xxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Being afraid is not the problem..... letting the fear control us nand stopping us from living and enjoying life is......
