    Hello all,

    This morning I have -
    - done daily free scratchcard
    - made a menu planer for the whole of January
    - Made lunch using leftover veg from yesterdays roast as a soup (yum)
    - Realised a pack of ham I have was meant to be used today so used it all up in sandwiches that have gone in the freezer ready for going back to work next week
    - had one of those silly scratchcard things in a magazine that give you an 09 number to ring, but found you can actually write off for a claim number so will give that a go, only lost the cost of a stamp if it doesn't work out.
    - was bought a granite pestle and mortar in Morrisons as it was really reduced and was the last one hiding behind something else!

    About to make a chilli to freeze and will be putting some clothes on ebay.

    Have a great afternoon/evening all!

    I have listed a whole pile of baby clothes on ebay... by the way are we allowed to post links on here??

    I've also fathomed a way to use up freezer dregs for something actually quite exciting for tea.

    Hello :j

    Thanks for starting the thread again Candy, and great to see so many new folk :D

    Today I have / will:

    Checked online banking

    Been shopping and only bought the few things on the list :D

    Took Christmas cards to supermarket with me and recycled them

    Found a 2010 calendar that was free in a supermarket magazine I got before Christmas - I had shoved it away in a drawer and only remembered it today when I recycled the old one

    Took small dog for long walk for free exercise

    Refrained from having heating on all day despite the fact that it is freezing :A

    Made soup from vegetables I already had, plus stock made from the bones of the small chicken I roasted yesterday when DD2 and her boyf came for lunch

    Going to tidy up a bit now and light the fire

    Have a nice evening everyone :hello:
  • Evening Everyone

    Think we all got a bit stir crazy so we took little dog for a nice long walk round the lakes. It was really pretty with all the ice and frost. All it cost us is £1 for the car park; dont mind that as it helps with the costs of running the reserve.

    Today I have checked online banking
    Done monthly big shop at Tesco, only cost me £65, so I am going to see how far I can pair down food bill this month.
    Cleaned downstairs loo
    Put all shopping away and listed stuff in freezer for meal planning.
    I am going to have a browse on the old style board for ideas, as didn't get chance the other day.

    Off for a shower in a minute using presents and bits from box under the bed (some are presents from Christmas 08)

    Have a releaxing evening everyone:D
    My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly
  • I went to the gym today and got the benefit of my membership (always good!);
    Used my £10 Valued Opinions voucher in HMV to buy a set of 5CDs - you know those 101 CD set things;
    Checked my online banking today and despite it being Xmas and things, I have enough money to get me through to Pay Day on 15th Jan without any real problems!
    Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
