Afternoon all.
It snowed again last night, so a planned trip out has been cancelled.
I'm feeling pretty tired as I had terrible leg cramp last night, which meant an interrupted sleep
Anyway, plans for today are to sort out the kitchen bookshelf. Apart from books, there's papers and all sorts on there, so it will take a bit of time, but needs doing.
I have just set the BM,so we can have some rolls for lunch and we're having chicken and noodles tonight, so need to prepare the chicken.
Hope you all have a good day, whatever you're doing.

Afternoon all!
There has been no os stuff here at all as everyone is just waking up! I've been awake for ages, but decided to make the most of a lie-in before we return to early starts next week!
Kitchen needs a mop and tree needs to come down so we can clean and tidy properly in the sitting room. Other than that I'm taking the girls into town today, they have assorted vouchers that they want to use in the sales!
Don't think I have much else to report, will take dog for a drag later, and missing kitten still not returned, she was quite feral when we got her, so I'm wondering if she's just returned to the wild? Would prefer to think that rather than she's been run over.
Lunch, who knows today, will probably be brekkie! Dinner, again who knows, meal plan is missing, so will freezer dive in a bit and see what I can find! Must get some potatoes whilst we're out - 25kg sack seems to have vanished rather speedily, and I quite fancy a baked pot, so could do some tomorrow. Usually have a few in the freezer, but pretty certain we used them all!
Hope everyone has a good day, quick coffee and catch up now xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Afternoon guys
its snowing here again  luckily i have no need to go anywhere else today with the exception of another walk with the houndies later today, it was so cold earlier that we were only out about half an hour and they were both ready to come back home. I`m glad as it was difficult to walk in many areas. The younger hound was naughty and ran across the frozen pond to fetch her ball as it bounced at an angle and went straight in so my heart was in my mouth for a few moments. I needn`t have worried really as the ice is so thick that there is no chance of it melting and her going through but i don`t want her to get the idea that she can do this any other time IYKWIM
The kitchen has been scrubbed and the chicken chasseur is now in the new smaller slowcooker for later and i`m par boiling some potatoes to make into mini roasties to eat with it.
It actually feels more like Christmas here than it did at Christmas time, the snow is falling very heavilly and i`ve just put the tree lights on and it is very cosy. I won`t be taking the tree down for another couple of days at least as DH and i have struggled for time off together over the holiday period and we have two days off together coming up so it will be nice to snuggle up at night with the glow from the tree and have that lovely warm happy feeling
Little black cat is snuggled up in her basket - well its a furry green and tartan padded bed actually next to the radiator and it is such a dark green that its difficult to see the cat unless she opens her eyes, DH and i always ask each other if there`s a pair of eyes in the basket lol.
I made a cuppa and have just eaten what i thought was a piece of cake that i defrosted to go with it, it turned out to be a piece of quiche so i`ve just texted DH at work to let him knowi need to label things more before just shoving them in the freezer. Think that i shall give Dad a quick ring before i hang up the second load of washing and then pop the bm on for some extra bread.
Have a warm afternoon guys.

Hi Everyone
Nice to read all your updates. I woke up at 10.30 a.m. today and only cos the phone rang at that - really not like me. Poor OH was coming home from his early shift and I was not even out of bed! Have a real lingering headache though had it since Thursday have just been taking para etc so it doesn't turn into a migraine but I have given in and taken migraine tablets (the "pinks" and hope I don't have to move on to the "yellows" for anyone in the know). In fact I know it is a big headache cos my OH just asked why the bread is in the fridge:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I must have put it there by mistake.
Anyway, having a lazy day today, in yesterday's thread I was trying to decide whether to do all housework and have empty weekend. Well glad to say I did! All dishes, washing, hoovering, tidying, dusting entire flat. When hoovering I spent special attention on "high traffic areas" which is definitely you guys being a good influence on me I would never have thought of such a thing before:rotfl:
Then we had basically Xmas dinner at the table with chicken instead of turkey and we had sponge cake (baked by me) and custard for dessert. I am a relatively new cook so I remain in shock for some time when I create a cake!!! I make my OH give me Come Dine With Me style scores and I am glad to say I got 10:j
So with my headache today trying to take it easy but planning to (and bringing it back to OS) make a meal plan, what to buy at tesco tomorrow, what to make for dinner, most importantly taking lunch to work as it really is cash down the drain.
Have decided to start eating healthy again, I did it last March/April before a big holiday to USA, I did really well and looking back was much fitter/energetic/happier in general. I log my daily calories etc on another website....but the problem is I have forgotten all the rules and have no idea what I can and can't eat!!! Not going to go on crazy realistic diet just avoiding fat (I think??) and brown rice instead of white etc......until last March I had never counted a calorie in my life! My main reaction was wow I had so much more time than other women on my hands and still got nowt done:rotfl:
As someone else said my brain is always busy this time of year. Am thinking in particular about learning to drive resolution and I might also take up knitting or something - with OH working nights which is still quite new to us I really want to find a hobby. was going to join gym but then got a Wii for Xmas so going to get a fitness game on pay day.
Have a lovely day every one x xDebt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Hi again everyone,
Yet more snow here again today, they're advising motorists stay off the roads still, so another day in the flat.
We're both just sitting about watching tv, at least we've managed something to eat and the dw is emptied...must go and put wm on in a mo, didn't do any after the warnings here yesterday (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!).
The snow looks lovely but it's a bit of a pain really! Need to be back at my mams tomorrow really and not sure it's gonna be possible. Never mind, we'll see what happens. Still, at least that means another NSD for me!
Our cat has finally gotten into her new christmas bed for a sleep! She's been avoiding it since we got it for her, even though it's big and warm and furry, silly cat. We're both trying to stay as still and quiet as possible so we don't disturb her now, lol. What a spoiled cat!
Right, she's just gonna have to cope with being disturbed as I need more coffee.
*hugs* for all who need/want them x0 -

Hi everyone :hello:
The Haribos are having a chilled out day today.
We had a lie in, a late brunch, lay about reading, went for a lovely walk in the snowy forest and are back now lazing in front of a big log fire. DDs have spent all their book tokens and are reading on the floor. OH is reading his Top Gear mag that I got him for free as part of his Christmas pressie and I am taking a break from knitting a hat to have a peek on here. The telly is off and the silence is bliss. The dog is banjaxed from running in the snow and the cat is trying to scale the curtains but in a sneaky, quiet way. I also didn't get the hens in to bed in time so they're up the tree again.
OS wise, I have cleaned the kitchen, done two loads of laundry and plated up tea which is reheated pot roast from last night.
Night in front of the telly with OH and a decent bottle of wine I think.
Aussie and Churchie where are you both?
Has anyone heard from Floss recently?
Thinking of you and yours SG. x
Good news about your lie in Bitsy. :T
Take care all.

Hi, hope everyone is safe and warm!
I was supposed to be going to the cinema today with a friend but we've had quite a lot of snow so change of plan!
Instead I've made chicken stock from yesterdays leftover carcass, treacle tart, jam tarts & sausage rolls. Will be making soup later with bits of chicken and assorted veg from the bottom of the fridge.
Finally got round to cracking open my teramundi this afternoon & I have £200 in 20p's to pay into the bank plus £120 in £2 coins from my other pot. :j I was saving for a special treat for my 50th birthday in the teramundi but as that was last March it's a bit late now!! Will put it in the bank for a rainy day instead!
OH has just finished cooking bubble & squeak to have with some chicken. Yummy!!
Hugs to those in need.
