If you do not understand the subject matter, why bother giving bad advice, it helps nobody.

My choice of cable was incorrect, the basic information was sound.

And still is, although the OP is looking to chose a different solution, mine was equal valid.

So thank you for your petty comment - it was truly worthless.

If i leave the sky+ box where it is it'd be at the opposite side of the room to the tv lol! Not much use in that!

Fair enough. Although I do know someone with a set up like that.

    Exactly.

Follow my initial advice, it is the best option, trust me.;)

Indeed - which is why I acknowledged that.

The principle was not however in question.

I'd have to point the remote control at the other corner of the room though! Seems a bit mental to me :rotfl:Thanks though.

Normal satellite grade cable and "f " connectors, with a back to back connector for each cable.

Plenty on ebay, many already made up for the job.

I've ordered one on ebay, thanks for your advice!

Not if you ran a magic eye as well (just use it for the ability to change channel not for the picture). Maybe not ideal but is an option.

Thanks but if there's another option i'd prefer to have them both in the same place.
