Thanks everbody who took the time to reply to my post. It is good to get an idea of how you all percieve our situation at the moment. Most of the comments have given me food for thought and a chance to have a good think about our future and how it can be improved for us both.

[MSE is the only place where i talk to strangers online, I know EVERYONE on my facebook account in person!
and as for contacting ex's, so what? if your going to do it your going to do it... almost all of my exs are my friends on FB but it doesnt mean anything...and there is absolutely no danger of anything happening!
people can also use phones, emails, letters, pigeons, postcards, word of mouth, just plain turning up on thier doorstep and all manner of other ways of contacting old flames if they r-e-a-l-l-y wanted too...

disagree facebook etc has made it much easier to contact old flames. Most people wouldnt know where they were or be bothered to try and look them up. Being able to log on to a site has made it much easier to find people if they have signed up how can anyone deny that? Plus its much less effort than lifting a phone or doing searches.

i was answering the comment that i bored people i dont think so!
However i have been very bored by one liners on facebook. They arent even questions. Clare is wondering what to wear today:D

But you have still given out more info than you think...

in a quick scan of your posts i found that...
your feminine but not girly,
you have long hair, blue eyes and are quite slim
you used to work for threshers
you love football,
you dont smoke
you dont see much of your family
your grandmother was born on christmas day
you have a child that was born on 5th january
you dont buy christmas presents for your son
your very opinionated and think your clever
you also think your better than most of the people you see on tv / street and dont understand why they cant help themselves (particularly the homeless)
you favour adoption over abortion
and you think things like facebook are boring but your threads on birthdays (mine today if your compliling some sort of book...:rolleyes:) did christmas day pass a - quickly, b- slowly or c- just right and how / why people scrape thier windscreens are the height of fascination!

and this was from 2 minutes work, if i tried i could probably find out the area you live in (being called red devil and a fan of "football" could give a major clue) and it really wouldnt take too much more to find you,
This was very little work and hardly an in depth investigation into every word you have said (thank goodness as frankly i couldnt take much more) so dont for one minute think you dont give anything away

dont hurt yourself getting down from that high horse will you....

Wow that is amazing and a cautionary tale. I don't think any of us realise how much information we actually give out without thinking. Thanks for this.

never done that before but there was a huge amount of information there
she hates Rod Stewart too (but who doesnt!) AND doesnt know how to quote properly

God thats scary, you think your quite safe 'cause no one can see you, you don't know how much information your giving out when your replying to threads on here!!! :eek:
