Have you done any investigation into what's causing them at all?

Drivers are all up to date, never had problems with Vista , i reinstalled again W7 and only seem to get them now when i change desktop appearance settings , but only if i do a few in a row.

EDIT: Sorted it now found a newer video driver just been released seems to have cured it

I am still not convinced that I should get rid of XP and spend money on 7, there doesn't seem to be much to get excited about.

Performance wise, there's not much change between XP and 7. But the main reason I upgraded from XP to 7 was that it was more secure and security updates will be running out for 7 in a few years time. So when I was getting it for £30, I thought, might as well do it now!

I'd only recommend an upgrade to Win 7 if you're having problems with your current setup. "If it aint broke...etc"

Its not like Win 7 is gonna change your life.. paying £70 for negligible benefit isn't worth it for most people.

I have Windows 7, Vista and XP and I prefer Win 7 over both XP and Vista.

XP's UI just feels really dated (well it is 9 years old) as well as missing some nice new features, and Windows 7 is generally faster than Vista and has some very nice UI improvements over Vista. I agree with the others that it feels faster than Vista (because in general it is)

    Here's some benchmarks,
