  • Aww...you lot are such a great support:A. I know starting back at Slimming World while I will sill be cookerless is not ideal, but i've got it in my head now and am determined to go back ASAP....21st April is Dday, thats the first date I can get to my local group. I am going to pay for 12 classes up front so no sneaking off for me!!

Good luck with the dieting ladies, I'm another heifer!! :rotfl: Probably just speaking for myself there!! :o

Unfortuanatly I am bigger than a heifer! I have a massive amount to lose..but just think, if I have ever been recognised as a Mystery Shopper they will have written down a description of me....hopefully I won't fit that description after a while:rotfl:

If i'm brave enough I will post my starting weight on here, as that should keep me on the straight and narrow.....I will give a warning first as it is going to be a huge figure (as am I:rotfl:) and i'm sure some of you will be disgusted. Hayho.

The kitchen now consists of a kettle, toaster (am going to try the fishfinger thing!) microwave and tiny fridge, oh joy.

  • I've been following your diary for a while now and thought I'd let you know that potato waffles cook very well in a toaster- you don't even need one of the toaster bags, just pop then in like a slice of bread and away you go!

TPA do you not have a slow cooker? That's what I'll be using from next week
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Aw thank you, am going to try both this and the fishfingers in the bag advice! Why are you in hiding??? Join in, the more the merrier, especially when you have food advice!

Yep, have a slow cooker that I use quite a bit, but I do like to quickly brown the meat on the hob before putting it in....will have to come up with another cunning plan! Any ideas??

GG, have you ordered your skip yet? Just ordred mine...£100 + VAT! All these little things I forgot to budget for.

I am going a bit old fashioned and am thinking of buying one of these: http://www.dawsonsdepartmentstore.co.uk/ecookshop/product.asp?pid=920012&m=5&d= They do them in lots of colours..on Amazon I could get the grey one for £35...hmm, decisions, decisions..

Have re-arranged the Mshops I had booked for today as the house looks like an absolute ship tip and I've got a touch of man flu so cannot be arffd flarffd to leave the house!

    Le Creuset....very posh! I likie!

Is a slow cooker really worth it then? Are they safe to leave on while at work??

Aww, I love my slow cooker, happy to leave on when I'm at work, really cheap to run too.

I don't know anything about them. I'm assuming they are moneysaving then....
What can you cook in them?

  • I know I should have said hi earlier, I seem to read people's diaries then get distracted by something else!
  • I'm such a donut, have just realised we have a perfectly good BBQ in the garden! If the weather stays as it is then we can cook on there!
