Birdie that wedding dress is beautiful!! £30 off has to be a sign too! :T
I'm i weird for not wanting a fuss if i was to get married? I'd really hate having all the pictures and everyone watching me! Im gonna run off and do it in Vegas0 -
:rotfl::rotfl: Just incase anyone missed it :rotfl:
LMAO! Flower I love it!Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »Noooooo! Flower you cowbag!!!well never mind it's done now and I do love it! AND it's a size 10!!
ETA - it's this one Birdie, the Coast sale is really good, there's an extra 20% off prices shown and free standard delivery, plus free returns. The shops don't have the extra 20% at the moment. There's some lovely stuff!
Gorgeous dress Tete, I looked and thought 'Gosh she got it in a 6 - that's going to run so short on those long legs!' but then I saw you got it in a 10 so must have been the last one.clearmydebts wrote: »Definitely yay to it being a size 10. I find Coast very small fitting and always have to go up a size in their dresses so you must be a right skinny minny!
Really?! I find they run a bit big. I wear a 10 in very high street places like top shop, oasis, warehouse, new look etc, but the nicer places that aim at the 20+ woman like Monsoon, Coast, Next etc rather than the trendy teeny boppers I have to go down to an 8 half the time. Next is a complete nightmare, I end up in a 6L all the time (and I'm not a 6 in any way and barely an L at only 5"7), and they never want to stock a 6L because lets face it, its a wierd size!
Got a bit more of the sewing book done today, and started my wedding scrapbook to take with me when I go see suppliers. Hoping to have both finished by the end of next week. I put the wedding book down as one thing on this weeks to do list, that was mad, its taking me at least an hour per page and I estimate I'm going to be doing about 120 pages! Hmmm, suddenly doing it by the end of next week seems less likely!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I presume EVERYONE remembers me saying that?! In fact me trying to book tickets to Vegas?! NIM was having none of it, and he was right, he knows me better than I know myself because he's right, I'd have regretted it not to celebrate something so momentus with everyone I love. Made me giggle as I said those exact same words a year ago!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I'm a 10 in Monsoon too, and a 12 everywhere else ... glad I tried that Coast one on in the shop otherwise I'd have got the wrong size, pleased to see they've sold out in a 10 now, that feels serendipitous
What's going in the wedding scrapbook??
I knwo what you both mean, I think I'd feel awkward being centre of attention but I'd still want to do it hehe!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Oooh, pretty dress! You'll look lovely in it!
I want this dress, everyone's job is to keep an eye on it for the price to drop because I ain't paying £115!
Lulu, I think you're very normal to not want a big fuss, it's a scary thing thinking about all of those people staring at you, and the family members that you don't like but have to invite scrutinising you in our dress to see if you look fat and/or pregnant! Dinah used to get really panicked about it... actually, are you feeling better and more relaxed about the whole wedding thing now Dinah?
ETA: Ahhh, crossed posts!
I do think that the £30 off the dress is a sign... hmmm.... Hopefully we're booking the wedding this weekend! Eeek! I've found out that Thomas Cook fly out on Saturdays so we don't have to fiddle the dates so it's over easter for the teachers (which is nearing the end of the 'right' season) so we're back to February half term. I'm going to get a book after work tonight and start making a little wedding scrapbook, just because I'm getting excited now!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Lol i love it. Me and OH went to Vegas for 2weeks in September for his birthday, he wants to go back this year. I'd love to too, but highly doubt im gonna be able to afford it! I was classic, bridal & tux shop, next door there was a marriage license place, next door to that the wedding chapel and it was surrounded by "honeymoon suites" which were really tacky little motel rooms.
We saw so many weddings in the posh hotels, which were gorgeous, but defo only for people who are minted! I did get married to George Clooney in Madame Tussauds though :rotfl:
Birdie, did you find out if your friend was definitely planning to attend your wedding?0 -

Did you get a price in the end Birdie? We've got our honeymoon with Thomas Cook, we got the quote, went away to research, were intending to go through them anyway, when they called me to offer another £150 off each per person, so it might be worth getting a quote then leaving it a few days to see if they come back with a better price.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Maybe it is my particluar body shape!!! Lol!
The great thing about being pregnant is that usually I am a 10 on top and a 12 on the bottom but all my pregnancy clothes have been a size 8 top and a size 10 bottoms. Never thought I would have a good body image while pregnant but I really am all bump. It's great as I have only put on 13lbs (week 36 now) so am not worried about losing the weight after the baby is born.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Yeah I first noticed it when they had that £30 voucher thing but it was still full price then and way too expensive! That's a lovely one Birdie I can see you in it, but it is a lot! Yeah, did you ever decide what was happening with your bridesmaid?
