Gorgeous dress Birdie
Tete and Dinah - I am trailing back through the pages cos I probably missed it somewhere - but are you both home sewing enthusiasts?
I would love to be able to do that but it's a bit like my cooking, blooming awful. I actually gave my sewing machine to my at Christmas cos I felt so sorry for it being unused (I could have sold it for not much money, but it was given as a gift at Xmas instead so did save me money really).NR [STRIKE]£5542[/STRIKE]£2771 BC [STRIKE]£7987[/STRIKE]£7700 BC [STRIKE]£3000[/STRIKE]£5100 Cat1 Pd Cat2 Pd Ulstr [STRIKE]£3400[/STRIKE]£3070 TSB [STRIKE]£4851[/STRIKE]£4400 MBNA [STRIKE]£7700[/STRIKE]£3887 NWst [STRIKE]£950[/STRIKE] £700 Hfx [STRIKE]£10097[/STRIKE]£10050 Asda [STRIKE]£398[/STRIKE] £315 HFX1 Pd Hfx2 [STRIKE]£3133[/STRIKE] £3000

Bargain Birdie, is it a contender?
I handed my folder in yesterday, it's not complete by any means but it is a work in progress I guess. Almost finished my mood board too, and skirt is coming on in leaps and bounds - doesn't actually look that massive when it's gathered. I have to say I'm feeling more confident all the time!
PA - I don't know what happened really, I think we were just gossiping once on here about how it would be great to be able to make your own clothes and Dinah found a dressmaking course at our local college so we dove in together - it's daunting at first and I'm always a bit scared to cut anything in case it's wrong, but like I say I'm growing in confidence all the time. I think it would be a hard thing to teach yourself though - all the terminology is really confusing!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I think the dress could be a contender, it is the right price and it is a lot easier to return it if I don't like than if I ordered one from America! Oooh, even better, I've found a £30 off code too! :money:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Ooh, so that's an extra £30 to the shoe budget
I just bought a dress from Coast sale so that's an extra £23.20 added to my OD to be paid off next weekWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

LOL Flower! Tete, you can't hide your shameful confessions on here you should know that!
What's the dress like? I need a nice dress for OH's friend's wedding in May but I don't want to spend a lot as no doubt I'll have to get shoes, bag, hat etc to go with it so I want to start looking early. I really want a nice hat or fascinator as I've never had the opportunity to wear one so I'm determined to have something daft stuck on my head! I'm not too mad on going TBH, it's OH's friend from school so I'm not going to know anyone there and everyone will be wanting to catch up with OH so I'll be left on my lonesome... oh well, the things you do for love!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Noooooo! Flower you cowbag!!!
well never mind it's done now and I do love it! AND it's a size 10!!
ETA - it's this one Birdie, the Coast sale is really good, there's an extra 20% off prices shown and free standard delivery, plus free returns. The shops don't have the extra 20% at the moment. There's some lovely stuff!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Definitely yay to it being a size 10. I find Coast very small fitting and always have to go up a size in their dresses so you must be a right skinny minny!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Actually, just looked at the dresses again Birdie - mine was the cheapest by quite a long margin (I wonder why?) - so unless you get that one you might be better off in Monsoon or somewhere...
EDIT - really CMD? Ooh that makes me feel even better! It's only because it's quite flared around the hips though I think!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
