I really hope you're being sarcastic, that dress makes ladies of the night look understated!

I can see it both ways, I've told NIM not to look petty, but at the same time what is he supposed to do for a week, sit and twiddle his thumbs? Surely getting the projected completed is better than doing nothing! When its only a short project its going to look awful to management that it took so long.

    Good morning everyone

Just a quick catch up before I get ready for work and play russian roulette with OH's car (it's beyong repair with an intermittent fault so could conk at any time but he can't do anything about it til Saturday). He's got my car as his journey is a lot longer than mine. Well, the money saving has gone a bit down the pan over the last few days cos it cost £50 to get his car drivable (he's paying me back), then yesterday I took him to work in my car but had a flay tyre so it cost £39 for a new one. To top it all I tried to put him on my insurance yesterday and they wouldn't do it and the only way we could do it was to cancel the insurance and take out another policy which would cost about £400  I said I didn't flipping think so and I'd look for cheaper insurance if that was the case. Last night I trawled the internet and got an insurance policy covering both of us to drive my car and it cos £264 so I was as pleased as I could be. I called the RAC back to cancel the policy I've had since October and paid £306 for (before the £80 cashback so it did work out the cheapest, honestly) and I'm entitled to £122 back! Thank God for the cashback I got. Then I had to take one of the dogs to the vet and that cost me £38 and now the NMC (Nursing people) want £75 off me! Not quite sure when the lottery win is going to happen but I'm sure it's soon :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway, at least it means February should be a clear month and that insurance money will pay the credit card for a month.

Right, off to get ready for work now so have a good day everyone :T
Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:

I would suggest discussing it with the director tomorrow when he meets with them, they will advise him on what to do.

Don't you be dissing my dresses! I dress like that every Saturday night! ;)

It's a toughy with NIM. It really it should have been sorted out before the chap went on holiday what was happening; either explaining to the bosses that Mr Useless was away so the project would be delayed until he got back so NIM needed something else to do whilst he was gone or that NIM would finish the project on his own. A bit late for that now so he just has to do what is best within his own company and what is best for him. All bosses are different so it's a case of sussing out what they'll be most pleased with!

Pilchard, it seems like this week has been a nightmare money week! It sounds like the insurance has worked out well for you though! Make sure you get OH's unused road tax claimed back when it is declared officially dead!

The instruction was only given at 4.30 last night not to do anything till he got back, hence why NIM is going to speak to the boss when hes in on Friday, but in the meantime hes going to continue processing the info today as if the boss finds out he sat doing nothing for a day (and he would find out, his wife works there too) NIM will be eaten alive.

Trying to do some ebay listings this morning, not very good at doing the descriptions today though.

Well that sounds like a good plan for NIM. Hope the bosses decide to give him the go-ahead to finish it all on his own, and that they'll tell Mr Useless that they did so NIM doesn't get hassle from him when he gets back!

Where is everyone? I don't want to do a Poolie and sit here talking to myself!

I've been looking into the Dominican for next year and wierdly it costs less to go the week just before the school holidays in April than if we go on the date that we were planning to go in February, which might work out better for us because we could go on the 5th (they only fly on Tuesdays annoyingly), our teacher friends could come out on the 12th, we could get married on the 15th (ish!), then we could all go home on the 19th so teachers don't have to miss any school. Hmm, sounds like a plan. Will have to check it out at the travel agents on Saturday! We're not going to Forida directly from Weddingmoon any more, we think we'll have 10 days/2 weeks in Florida later in the year, we'll get a late deal in either May/June or September to miss the school holidays and get the nice weather and it'll give us a little more time to fill up the coffers!

  • Sounds like a good idea Birdie to have the Florida part later in the year, you don't want to use up your year's holiday quota all at once!!
