How exciting about the house, congrats! It has gone off the website now but I saw it before and was lovely.

Congrats on the diss Tink - bet you are so relieved!

I had winnie the pooh wallpaper when I was little and then lime green walls and pink curtains haha.

Ooooh I like the sound of lime green and pink Wendz! Not so good when you're hungover though!

Good idea about the safety pin Dinah! I can't even remember how the back works, trying to remember whether or not there's an inner corset since I was trying lots of dresses on the same day, hmmm... maybe it's a good idea that I'm going to try it again!

Well done on getting your dissertation done Tink, that's a massive achievement!

No Rainbow Brite wallpaper for me - was there a Twink involved...? But I did have a Poochie duvet cover :) Anyone else remember that? Big white dog with pink ears if I remember correctly.

Congratulations on the house Dinah! And that dress is incredible; you're so skilled! I found a lovely maxi dress in New Look but I need to fit into it before I buy it.

And congratulations Tink on handing in your dissertation, what a relief :)

Glad the christening went well CMD, Max sounds like a real cutie!

Don't remember Poochie Poddle, but yes - they were Twinks the little fuzzy things. All her friends were called things like Canary Yellow and Patty O'Green :D

oooh this thread is fully of lovely positiveness today! Probably the only place in UK that is at the mo!

Great news all round - house, wedding veils, dresses, sewing projects, dissertations and anything else achieved or happened this week - well done all. Maybe cos it's May and the sun is trying to shine that little bit more each day (well here it is anyway!)

I am looking out of my (depressing 60's built concrete monstrosity) office window, yep back at work full time (the less said the better due to my manager's reaction to the reasons behind my back problem!!) and I am looking over the rooftops of beautiful Grey Street and Dean Street in Newcastle city centre and the sun is bouncing off St James' Park, the gold weather vanes on the Cathedral are glinting nicely and the Castle looks just splendid in the sunshine. The sun is shining all the way over Gateshead too. And it's Friday Yay!!!

I have had a week or so off from ebay etc and have made a concious decision to get cracking with my dozens of overdue items that should be up there now. And the relisting of older stuff which I have left for a while!

I have to make a massive effort over the next few months to get my debt reduced by a considerable amount.

Oh while I am here does anyone know when's the best time to apply for a credit card (to chase the 0% balance transfer offer) after successfully being accepted for one? I took the Halifax up on their offer during March and would like to transfer my barclaycard which I am paying stupid interest on to another 0% but don't want to do it too early in case I get rejected.

Anyway, have a great weekend everyone

Wow DE sounds like youre in a brill positive mood today! yey!!
I think im gonna head over to the boys, i want to spend some time in the sun with him and do some revision :(
I have been moving some money about and looking at things and I think I am going to be £2,800 short of my target for uni :( (it was having the same in the bank as I am in debt - studuent loans wise) but it isn't really working. I also have no clue where that money could come from but I will just have to keep working on it lol!
I have a big CC bill to pay this month too, need to sort that out but I am generally loas happier moneywise than I was at Easter so thats good!! :)
I have also written I think 4 dooyoos in the last 2 days for things I suggested (I much prefer suggesting things than aimlessly looking for things!) The reviews ae just quick ones but I've had some amaazon vouchers recently so I only have I think 5000 points left now lol!
Going to try and write about 2 more today too. I need to catch up with some reads too though, have really fallen out of the loop with it :(

Thanks for all the lovely comments RE my dissertation. it really does feel good to have finished!!

Must be a big relief to finish the dissertation!

I've not been on DY for days as I've got nothing to write about at the moment but I'll log in now and rate your reviews that I've not got round to yet.

Dirtyepic I am jelous of anyone who gets to live or work in Newcastle, I love that city.

The rule seems to be no more than 3 applications in 3 months when it comes to CCs.

Good news on the positive attitude to clearing the debt.
