Ooh that's exciting about the veils! Did NIM manage to prise you away from the embroidery machine last night? Didn't mean to rush off (well I did but hope you didn't think I was being rude!) - had fairy cakes and brownies to bake, didn't actually stop yeasterday from 6.30 - 23.30, I was wrecked!

Hooray for the dissertation Tink, you deserve to have had a lovely spendy weekend! Well done! (And don't mention the D-word!!)

Oooh I was just going to ask if they had arrived! My positive thoughts worked!

Well done on the dissertation Tink, you must be very relieved! :D

They did - thank you! I've already hit ebay, ordered some tulle and lace and plastic combs which should arrive over the weekend so I can have a fiddle next week.

Of course I didn't - as you say I was a bit wedded to the machine! I'm trying to be rational, I don't need one, its just a really fun toy!

Is an embroidery machine one of those clever things that you put a picture on the computer and it turns it into fancy stitching? It's amazing what you can get nowadays!

I went to my dance class last night, which is actually called Zumba, and it was super fun! It was a free taster session last night but I've signed up for a 10 week course, I'm hoping to dance myself slim(mer!)! Trying my wedding dress on again on Saturday so that should give me plenty of inspiration to get skinny too!

Yep thats an embroidery machine. I'm really angry - I dont seem to have my embroidery - I must have left it in the sewing room!

Just be careful you don't slim out of the dress! Glad you had a nice time - coordinaton issues overcome then?

Errr.... it was so busy last night (being an open session) that my co-ordination issues were not noticed! I'm sure it could be a problem when we start smaller classes! I only hit one woman and crashed into my friend once, which wasn't too bad!

My dress is getting fitted in December so as long as I'm at the 'right' size then I should be OK. It's a lace-up back so I'll just make sure that there's room to go smaller or bigger on the day depending on how the week of holiday before the wedding day affects me!

Lol I'm imagining that woman going home last night saying to her hubby 'some uncoordinated bouncy young thing gave me a black eye!'

Ah lace up is good for that, mine is buttoned, so needs to have a lot of fittings!

Hehe, it would serve her right, you don't get in my dance space!:rotfl:

The thought of being buttoned into a dress scares me a little, I want to let my dress out once I've eaten!

I had one very shallow reason for not wanting lace up - I went to a wedding last year and that board bit that goes behind the laces had slipped, and it just looked really tatty especially as it sort of cut into her and made her back look really tubby. I don't get bloated after eating luckily, plus I tend to eat fairly small portions anyway. I'm terrified of spilling something though.

Oh dear, I hope that doesn't happen to me! I'll have my Mum on modesty panel watch!

I really nervous about doing something to ruin my dress as I have to wear it twice!

Maybe even a safety pin on the inside of the dress on either side of the panel at the top to hold it in place. No one would see them but it would all stay in line.
